IT'S BACK UP HURRAY!!!!

Thought I'd help Jessica out a little bit and tell you all what was going on.

Psychfic's old server was down yesterday, and Jessica used that time to do the switch to the new server, which is why the site has been down longer.

If Psychfic is ever down, you can keep up with what's being done by going to www.psychfic.net.

Really? I still can't get to it! Am I doing something wrong? Seriously, I'm having withdraw issues here...

It is? I just went there and couldn't access anything, though parts of it were up again. According to psychfic,net it'll be up by MOnday, but I can't get to it yet.

Hey! I just got an e-mail from Jessica. She's working hard on it, but she's hit some snags. She's hoping to get it up by Monday, Tuesday at the latest. We'll just have to ride it out for a while. She asked me to pass it on.

Thanks for passing on the word. I guess we just have to be patient. Something must be working though because I got an e-mail telling me Crushed Pineapple Chunks had been updated and I've never gotten an e-mail from psychfic before, even though I signed up to be.

Collegekid - were you able to update today, or was it just delayed?

Hmmm.... I'm thinking of trying my hand at a Psych fanfic episode or two and posting at psychfic. Dunno if I should though. The stuff that's there is pretty amazing. LOL

Don't say you shouldn't! Once this server mess is cleared up, you should definitely write and post! We love all fanfic, don't be intimidated! I'm sure your stuff is just as wonderful as anything else on Psychfic!

Meh, I'll give it a shot while looking at it this way.. 'there is ALWAYS someone worse.' LOL

Everyone on the site is really helpful and friendly, too, so if you have any questions (when the site is back up and working) just ask anyone!

I have written gazoodles of CSI fics.... this should be a breeze. The key to Psych writing is keeping your humor on point and not making the reader say "Shawn.... wouldn't say that."

I only hope I can do his supreme fake-out-ness true justice. *meditates to channel the inner Shawn* Ohm..... ohm..... ohm... LOL

Yeah, I updated....here's what happened (if you'll pardon the Monkish line...lol) WHen I bookmarked Psychfic, I didn't bookmark the homepage. I bookmarked the "Most Recent" page, which for some reason I was able to get to last night at some point. I thought the site was back up and running and was able to update, but a few hours late the bookmark stopped working again, so I guess it's not....but the Chunk should be there tomorrow when (hopefully) the site is back up and running.

Thank you for the updates. Love the site and stories. I have lots of ideas in my head but don't I could ever get them to sound as good as those.

I hope everyone is using this time to write some great psychfic so, when things are up and running, we can totally fill it with psych-tastic new stuff!!!!

*Eye twitch* Need fanfiction...I'm going through withdrawl here...

At least its nice to know that the problem is being taken care of. And hopefully I'll have a nice stash of new fanfiction to sift through when the site gets back up.

it's back up - can read the stories -- yay

Some of you have been able to access Psychfic, and some not. The reason for this is that those that can now access the site have ISPs that have updated their DNS addresses. So, for those of you not yet able to access the site, it is only a matter of waiting for the DNS change to propagate.

I, for instance, still cannot access the site by the URL, but I can access it by the direct IP and my hosting username. Now, I’d give this info to you all, but I don’t think that would be a good idea.

So, it just comes down to waiting. And patience, as they say, is a virtue. Many don’t possess it, including me , but we have no other choice.

I want to thank you for all of your continued support on this matter. You are the best web friends a person can have. *hugs*

Awww....I'm blushing! Seriously! LOL! Thanks, though. :-) I can't even tell you how much fun it is to write for these characters. They're so incredibly 3-dimensional. I don't have to do anything...just put them in a situation and let their personalities take over. BUT PSYCHFIC IS DOWN AGAIN AND I AM GOING OUT OF MY MIND! lol! Thank God Jessica put up the new forum! It's my only saving grace!

psychfic.com is seriously the best fic site ever. it's like an awesome haven of shules and every other story you could ever want. everyone is amazing! i'm addicted. oh, and i'm "aeronautical" over there.

I am totally addicted to the stories in Psychfic.com. I have to read every new chapter/story before going to bed. There are only 2 new stories today. I wonder why. Are all writers on vacation?

oh my gosh, me too. have you started reading the virutal season? it's so amazing! plus especially since we won't have new episodes for awhile after the next one it will help with missing the show while it's gone. ugh, psychfic is awesome. enough said.

collegekid06 made a challenge called "gus meet lassy" or sumthing like that. its where you have to write a story about lassiter and gus. if you have an account pleeeeeeeeease do a story for it. there are already a few responses and they are all realy good!

I'm too easily distracted, and I start looking at pictures of the hotness that is James Roday, and get inspired to write stories like 'Shawn Faces Death.' As if my lack of time weren't already bad enough, I was going through older messages and came across this:

I don't remember Henry saying that, so I'll have to go back and re-watch the episode on DVD (such a chore ). It just so happens that I know how and why an ambulance ride home would occur after a motorcycle accident, and my Shawn muse is prodding me to write the story instead of studying fluid and electrolyte balances. (Down, bad muse!)

I have to say that PsychFic is a GREAT site. Best fanfic site I've seen. I truly like the fact that a certain amount of quality (such as limited grammar and spelling errors) is required, which just makes the stories that much better. Very entertaining stuff. It's making the summer hiatus tolerable! The only change I think they should make is having the option of a "Lassiter" or a "Lassiter/Ohara" (as bad-ass cop partners) skin, and possibly one with Buzz. Give the big man some love.

By the way, I've got one story up on PsychFic so far. It's called "Choose It Or Lose It", and it's very Lassie-centric because Lassiter is my favorite character. So all you Lassie fans, read away if you haven't done so already. And if you do indulge, please do me the huge favor of rating/reviewing. Gotta love the feedback.

I'm Texasartchick over there, too, by the way. I'll probably begin work on another fanfic within the next few days.
