I'm having a little, but heated, debate - what is that language Shawn claims that Gus speaks when he introduces him as Dr Mc!!|!#toek? I hear "Xhosa", and that would make the most sense since it is a click language from S. Africa (I have a couple of friends who speak it).

But is anyone out there privy to the episode script and can confirm this?

BTW, the other person in this debate says it's "Corset" or something nonsensical like that.

Well Shawn actually refers to the language as "Kosov" although with the accent it kind of sounds like he's saying "Corset" so the mistake is understandable.

I'm not really sure if Kosov is a real language but if it's not that's probably just part of the joke. The writer's may have wanted it to seem as if Shawn knew what he was talking about but really he's just making things up as he goes along (in a normal Shawn fashion.) It's probably a bogus title that's just refering to the click language you mention.

like a lot of people (including me until I read your post) Shawn may know that such a language exists but doesn't know the language name.

Which is ironically something Gus probably would have corrected Shawn on if he hadn't been pretending that he speaks a different language.

but I don't know it could be a real language after all!
