Aww, how sweet! This picture has really grown on me, the especially the cute little proud smile on Lassie's face before everyone really starts applauding him. Plus, it's hard to ignore the very nice rained slicked hair. Kind of had me at "wet". Lol, that was sooo bad. wink.gif *blushing*

I think my other favorite Wet! Lassie pic for this episode is when Lassiter first enters the station with Chavez, and he's still kind of in shadow, and he just looks so badass. cool.gif biggrin.gif

They even play badass music for him! And Shawn even thinks he's badass. It's a win-win for me! In regards to that episode, I love it because it shows that Lassiter really is an awesome detective (plus the fact that he hides a gun in a bowl of peanuts and subsequently uses it to shoot Drimmer and save Shawn, lawl). My brother (as well as some other viewers I've talked to in the past) just see him as being kind of a jerk who likes to talk up his abilities. And while it's true he's got a lot of pride and it's oftentimes his downfall, he's really a talented detective who really is all about the whole "protect and serve" bit. Case in point being the discussion he has with Mr. Salamatchia in Shawn Has the Yips.

Baw, I've gone on and rambled again. I really just like the grumpy ones with good hearts. D:

Woot! I LOVE those wet Lassie pics too. I just so love that whole episode, so very very much. biggrin.gif And in that spirit, I was watching that opening again earlier tonight and decided to try some screencaps for the thread. I just stuck with a couple of the early scenes.

In a happy coincidence, the caps I grabbed take place after the uber wet Lassie pics:

Happy Lassie! biggrin.gif

Haha, oh my gosh! I love your cute little descriptions of all those awesome screencaps. I really live the look on Juliet's face, too (part of me thinks she would have liked to have given that agent a little one-two herself). I just love the Lassiter-O'Hara partner dynamics; they flow really well with each other.

*gigglefart* Those were just too good, Okapi.

We should make a Lassie Mood o' Meter with those caps. 8D

OMG!!!! *Lassie Did A Bad Bad Thing Awesome Piccies Happy Dance* I really can't ever get too much of this episode! I completely agree with whomever said Lassie is like a "human emoticon" in this episode (and a lot!). *Fangirl squee* I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE these pics.

Poor thing goes from thrilled for bringing in Chavez to having the criminal turned over to the FBI . . . to totally angry, almost punching the FBI agents! I agree too with whomever mentioned O'Hara's expressions: I loved Juliet's absolute support of her partner's innocence throughout this episode. *Squee*! *goes off to watch episode again* biggrin.gif

I completely agree! Season 1 sure seemed to paint Lassiter as a "stock character" at first, just the angry, "stuck up", power-tripping, high ranking cop.... until we got to see that he was having problems being separated from his wife; that he was trying so hard to make it work, and she just seemed to want nothing to do with him. (Plus cold and angley and twig-like Lucinda was transferred away; though I wasn't so fond of her, if you couldn't tell. *ducks just in case*). I love that Lassiter has grown and evolved (that all of the characters have, really), that we the audience get to see what you mentioned, the "talented and dedicated detective" & that the discussion in the cemetery in "Yips" is really his life's work. But true, as you also mention, he is grumpy and prideful, but has a good heart and good character— and is even friend material for his partner. smile.gif lol. Oh, and there's that holster thing and the gun porn too.... wub.gif Oh, and the eyes! And smile... okay, I think I got off my original thought path. wink.gif

I also remember some discussion (maybe the writer's commentary for High Noonish) about how Lassie is a black and white kind of guy... all right and wrong and no in between. Which makes him the perfect "adversary" for Shawn. Yet, even keeping true to that, he still is portrayed (now-a-days) as a real human being who struggles with life and decisions. It's what makes me love the character so much (well... that and Tim!) laugh.gif

I just watched Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing today!! That is one of my all-time favorite episodes biggrin.gif

I met a girl this week who one of my other friends became friends with and it turns out she is a Psych fan. So I was talking to her about some episodes and then she says, "But I don't like Lassiter" I was like "WHAT?! How can you not like Lassie??!?!" Then one of my other friends said, "Yeah, he's a jerk" (although this particular friend hates Psych so i didn't really listen to him) I just couldn't believe it!!! blink.gif

I think Lassie would like to be a black and white kind of person- that could even be his idea of nirvana, lol, but he's not nearly there. It's cool to see him try to act that way, but his brilliance really shines when he takes the risk of stepping into the gray.

Aww, Lassie! I think that Lassiter might have been that "black & white" character in season 1, as the writers mentioned, but I think the constant presence of Juliet, Shawn and Gus around him kind of forced him to change (for the better) though I would agree that the change was gradual. Lol, though there are sometimes when it does seem like he's still just "black & white"; I guess it adds another dimension to his character that his perspective still has the ability to shift (from asking for help from Shawn & Gus in "High Noon-ish" to playing super serious angry police detective in "High Top Fade Out"). Lol, I hope that made sense.

And I'm probably entirely alone in this view, but I loved Lassiter's super angry/ "mean" personality in "High Top Fade Out". I thought it was wickedly funny, especially to see this "look, we're also serious cops"/ "we mean business!" side to Juliet and Lassiter. And I'm not a Shawn hater, so don't think I am, but it was kind of interesting to see Shawn kind of "put in his place" for once (or almost, lol) while Gus went full scale Angry and Confrontational. Lol. I guess I just really like the flavor/ spice of this season so far. We're getting an almost "exotic" taste for all of our characters, and yes, it's definitely sometimes very different and even shocking, but I guess as a fan of Psych, I'm really happy and excited to see the show transform and go further and further.

So, just to clarify, just my opinion. I know many people have expressed the "unnecessary meanness"; I can definitely see that POV. I just might be so Lassiter biased though; it's very hard to see him in a "bad light", even when he's being so snarky or mean. Just me though.

I absolutely loved Lassiter last episode until that last line. Everything else felt very in character, but that last one just seemed a little harsher than everything else. Until that point, I thought he was hilarious!

Oh, do you mean the "You're not a cop and you'll never be" line? I agree, that was pretty harsh. It did put a lot in perspective, but I don't think Shawn was ever trying to be a cop past age 10 or 11. But yeah, that was Lassie flavor super mean. tongue.gif

Hey, gang! Coming to you live from my little brother's laptop... Mine decided it was time for the Blue Screen of Death. The day after I made a $400 car insurance payment. But I'm not complaining! Haha! Ha... haha... *weeps openly*

Ahem. o_o

Anyway, I love the fact that Tim's hair's growing back out! It's almost at the perfect length again. I'll say right now that I squealed in utter delight at that picture. Funny how hair grown a few inches longer on one man can insight such a reaction. And the stubble...! Looks like he took a leaf out of the James Roday book. Hohoho~ I'm liking it. And I have to say, those videos just made my day. Seriously, they did. (You guys are pulling me back from the Vortex of Unhappiness~! <3) I can't help but grin like a moron and do an internal Snoopy Dance at the sight of the Lassiter/Juliet Fist Bump. Totally stolen, yes, but they're such an awesome duo! :3

On the BigMeanie!Lassiter note, I had no problem with it. I thought he and Jules acted completely within their boundaries. And the "You're not a cop and never will be" line had me nodding in agreement. I get so sad when people pick poor Lassie out as a jerk, because the thing is, he's a cop. I thought it was refreshing to see Lassie and Jules in "srs cop mode" in High Top, Fade Out. It shows that they can separate work from play and prioritize in a way that Shawn and Gus can't and probably never will be able to. Does Lassie get a little prideful at times? You betcha. But as a CJ major I can say with absolute certainty that any officer (and especially a Head Detective) is going to face a lot of stress and annoyance at having to filter the crap cases from the honest-to-goodness worth-your-time cases. It's tedious and people expect that because you're a law enforcement official, you're responsible for every little problem that might go wrong. And don't get me wrong, it's our duty to protect those who can't protect themselves and to serve the community, that's why we enter the profession to begin with, but it's a stressful job and people put a lot on our hard working boys and gals in blue. It's a lot to live up to. And Lassie rises to the challenge, every single time we see him. So if he's got little patience for nonsense and general tomfoolery or Mrs. O'Leary's cat caught in a tree, I think that as SBPDs youngest Head Detective he's entirely earned the right to be that way.

Er... and that ends my "Defend Lassie!" rant. Oops. Ignore me if I ramble. XD

Oh, and LAWLS AHOY on the TDK spoof. 8D

*Hugs you* :*( Can totally empathize about the computer crashing; it's like the end of the world. Hope it's an easy fix! And much yay & "squeeing" for Lassiter's hair growing back! Season 2 & 3 had him with such good hair. biggrin.gif

D'awww, thank you! *hugs back* ;o;

And you're so right. I loved his hair in season two and three. I find I'm going back and re-watching episodes now just to check out his hair. *is lame* Like I'll find his it'll be combed just to the side in a certain scene in a way that makes me just thrilled, for whatever reason. I'll point it out to other people watching the episodes with me, usually my brother... and I just get those looks. XD

Ah, those were great! Thanks so much for posting them. I never get sick of watching the blooper reels. That "Leaving on a Jet Plane" one was priceless, though! I love that song to begin with and that was just too cute.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt7dEzlr_Pc...feature=related (I loved this scene. Lassie's all "I'll show you the ropes" but that's so forced from Jules. XD)

Kyaha, on another note, I was watching MI:III with my Dad the other day... and Tim was in it! I screamed, pointed at the screen, and yelled "Someone make Tom Cruise move... it's Tim! Move it Scientology boy, you're in his way!" My Dad (bless him) frowns and goes "...you mean the guy with the ears? You're weird." <3 <3 <3

*laughing hysterically* How funny were those?! LOL.

Lassiter: What do we say?
Juliet: What? Oh. (cut to scolding Shawn with finger pointing)

LOL. Loved it! biggrin.gif That was an adorable episode for the Lassiter-Juliet partnership growth.

Don't worry, you're totally not lame for liking Tim's hair a certain way. smile.gif And I agree, seeing it the way you want is like an extra happiness maker. smile.gif (I remember giggling a lot at Tim's hair, which is kind of poofy on the top with these semi-long sideburns in The Luck of the Irish. Though, he still looked really nice anyway. wub.gif ) Ooh, Tim spotting in a movie! I think that was kind of my reaction when I happened to see him in that episode of Without A Trace. Like, ooh, I "know" you! "What are you doing on this show?" LOL. biggrin.gif

Aww, "the guy with ears"? sad.gif But Tim is so cute! *squee* wub.gif (Lol, love how you refer to Tom Cruise! Too funny!)

Partnership for the win. *pumps a fist in the air* Srsly.

I love that episode of Without a Trace! I also saw him in an episode of Cold Case recently (I believe the episode was called "Sabotage") and it was super angsty at the end. And he was perfect! There was this really moving scene at the end of his character thinking his family was dead, but when he found out they were safe he goes running to them, all set to "Apologize" by One Republic. It was very well done. I'll admit... I cried. XD

And yes, lawl, "that guy with the ears." I told my Dad his ears were AWESOME just to set the record straight. *thumbs up* Haha, Tom Cruise... Well, you can hardly blame me. He was blocking my good view! I managed to find a short clip. You can't see Tim all too well, but you can hear him. ;P

I love this one! It has that scene in the car from Dis-Lodged where he hangs up on O'Hara, which I love in the show. Then it goes on..."I'm smooth, like butter." LOL

No actually Winky_Cutto's were harmed in the making of that scene, right? wink.gif

Let's just pretend your dad simply understands that Tim has very attractive ears--and that's why he noticed them.

(Yes, I think Tim's ears are very sexy... as has previously been established.)

I feel a little like John Landis when I watch that clip and all I can think is, "Stop spinning the camera!" They needed to get the shot with Tim in it looking all great and sexy, and then leave it there! lol tongue.gif
