And here's another favorite "oldie but goodie" pic of mine, posted in my continuing tribute to our favorite, long-lost screencapping "Shassy" queen, Heartbreak Princess.

Anyone know what happened to her? She just fell off the radar all of a sudden.

I don't really know, but Princess and Pet just kind of dropped off at the same time. It was around the end of the semester, so I think that could definitely have had something to do with it. Who knows. Maybe'll they'll come back when the season starts or when school starts up again?

hey, i'm new here, but i've been a fan of psych for quite some time now, and lassiter is by far my favorite character. lol, and i know that i don't need to convince you guys why he's the best...
and i've been reading up in some (good god, not all) of this thread, and you guys sound really cool.
some of my favorite lassiter moments:
--basically all of "black and tan." chucking the bag of ties across the room when he sees shawn; him threatening to beat that euro-model; "IT'S THE SAME TTTIIIEEE".
--friendly drunk carlton
--faux-happy lassie about o'hara beating his score during "there's something about mira"
--"spilled tapioca on mine"

--the collage-amount of angry lassie faces
it's also even better to know that tim is such an amazingly nice and fun guy in real life, and manages to portray lassiter so well.
so... hello!

Welcome!
Rather than deal with summer reruns this evening, I decided to check out Tim's 2005 guest spot on the OC.
I grabbed a few screencaps along the way, and this is one of the best. I guess you could call it a welcome present.

Are you referring to the episode of "Criminal Minds" where he plays the sniper that shoots to wound? Yeah, that was a good one! Crazy bad guy Tim is fun to watch. He had one "pimped-out" AR-15, too. That much crap on a rifle sure looks cool, but it adds a hell of a lot of weight. You can't hit your target if you can't hold up your gun.
But then again, it only has to look good on TV for a few seconds, so mission accomplished.

Not sure this fits the "hot" part of the thread, but Tim is definitely one of the best and most versatile actors on Psych. He's been in several things on TV and in movies over the years, and always turns it really stellar performances. It is a joy to watch such a pro - we are one lucky fandom to have him...and all the rest of the awesome Psych cast!

It doesn't have to qualify as "hot" to appear in this thread. We are all here to discuss the goodness that is Tim Omundson in various ways. I personally like him as an actor and respect his acting abilities, I'm not so big on the "sex symbol" thing (shock!). I wholeheartedly agree with everything you've said. I am constantly amazed by how believable he is no matter what he's doing on screen. Of course now someone is going to point out that the ability to act so well is, in and of itself, sexy, and then there we go down that path again...
Welcome to the thread by the way! Please feel free to post (non-sexy) opinions any time!

If you haven't seen it yet, the video interview with the Psych writers/producers that was on the Psych Countdown Calendar (now having technical problems) is up on Hulu. Not really. Tim Omundson was wearing the sling because he broke his collarbone during an accident while riding a mountain bike. Apparently he had just healed enough to ditch the sling when they shot that scene, and there he goes, falling right on that same shoulder that had just healed. In that interview, the producer said. "Why he was doing his own stunt at that point, I don't know!"
Well I know. Tim's da man! That's why!

I just watched all of the season 3 episodes I haven't seen before now except "Christmas Joy", and all I have to say is...WOW. I mean, just, WOW. I Shawn's dance on the roof of the school in "Murder, Anyone?...Bueller?" Was hilarious!
Now, back to the subject of Tim Omundson...some GREAT Lassie moments! Tackling the gun-wielding daughter in "There Might Be Blood", enjoying Shawn's taunting of Luntz in "Gus Walks Into A Bank" are right up there. But the what I really noticed, and what I found was just such a joy to watch, is the way Lassiter and Juliet interact as partners now. Lassie asking advice from Jules about Vick's sister, him realizing he needs Juliet's help with his dating life, and above all him supporting Juliet as her partner. He tries to take the heat and deflect the chief's anger when she's caught helping Shawn run people's names on the computer from the HS reunion, working with her to snag interesting cases, fighting off wild marmosets (notice he was the one with all the bites and scratches and Juliet was pretty much unscathed? He did puke on her three times on the boat, though...) backing her up while she's undercover. Such GROWTH! It was really wonderful to see just how far they've progressed from the first season, how they "click" so well as partners, and, dare I say, friends.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Anyone? Anyone?...Bueller...

Seeing the difference in the relationship between Lassie and Jules last season was really nice! I always like the way they interacted in the past ("If You're So Smart Then Why Are You Dead?" anyone?) because she's always been able to tell him things that no one else could possibly get away with. The fact that they brought them even closer was great!

The marmosets was absolutely hilarious, lol. I agree, I loved how much he's grown and how they're showing so much more of his human side. From talking to Madeline to agreeing he needs help dating (hello?? hitting on a 'working girl'??) and covering for Jules. In Bueller, how getting to arrest his date totally made his night- that's SO Lassiter! I also loved him going after Vick's sister, and was just about rolling when the sister finally asked him out! "You, me, lunch"; "Aye, Aye!" That was perfect.
I think my love for Lassie's character just grew quite a bit last night!

For everyone who doesn't have Twitter, or simply didn't want to go try and scroll through all the tweets to get to it, here are the Q&As from this afternoon/evening!
First up was Tim!
Q: Do you think Lassiter will ever get a girlfriend?
A: Yes, he'd fall for an instructor from the Academy that's a better shot than him
Q from @dojhar: What's your favorite part about playing Lassiter?
A: Guns! Guns! Guns!
Q from @mgardner: How much of the show is improvised vs. scripted?
A: 96% scripted then it's all genius after that.
Q from @chckndnce: What do you enjoy most about working on Psych?
A: Besides, the guns, guns, guns…it's all about the people.
Q from @acubound05: Have you found any tricks for keeping a straight face to James during takes?
A: None, it's hopeless.
Q from @jedipirate: What the toughest thing about playing Lassiter?
A: Keeping a straight face!
Q from @ohwowstella: Does anything happen between Shawn and Juliet?
A: Who?
Q from @_Joyce_: Will we get to hear Lassie sing anytime in the show?
A: Only during his next shower scene.
Q from @coffeebeans10: Do you and James share the same friendship off-screen as Lassie and Shawn?
A: Fortunately, it's much better off screen.
Q from @elainethegeek: Who's more fun to play: Lassie or that leprechaun from the Disney Channel movie?
A: Seamus never got to squeeze out 14 rounds from a Glock 17
Q from @agarderik: Tim, can I look forward to another "Superfreak"-esque Psychout from you this season?
A: There may be something involving "I'm too sexy"
Q from @KDeLaRiva: How much pain were you really hiding on screen after you broke your collarbone?
A: The pain went to 11 (Spinal Tap reference, look it up!)
Q from @Winky_Cutto: Future writing and directing?
A: Toying with directing…we'll see what happens.
Q from @RowdyFan51: My heart broke for Lassie when he got drunk at the bar and opened up to Shawn. Do we get to see anymore of that?
A: Drunkenness? Tenderness?
Q from @Texasartchick: Is there any particular aspect of Lassiter's personality you'd like to see explored on the show?
A: His friendship with Juliet.
Q from @dreathirium: Who does Lassiter think is hotter? Chief Vick or Juliet?
A: He can't see past either badge.
Q from @coffeebeans10: Will Lassie reconcile with his wife?
A: Hells no!
Q from @hafelina: If he wasn't a cop, what other occupation would Lassiter have?
A: A federal cop
Q from @VivreNuit: What happened to your relationship with Lucinda? Is there a possibility of it restarting?
A: She broke up with Lassie because she couldn't get over the "wife thing"
Q from @stefenymarie: Who is the more accomplished comedian, you or James?
A: Me, of course!
Q from @MelMc1423: Do you get to drive the police cars on set?
A: Yes, but not as fast as I'd like to.
Q from @themahler: Who's funnier off camera...James or Dulé?
A: They're both very funny in very different ways.
Q from @baterista9: When you shot the pilot, did anyone make the late Don Davis break character?
A: No, he was a machine. It didn't happen.
Q from @Texasartchick: Will you continue to write Lassiter's blog?
A: Yes, and might give this Twitter thing a try too.
Q from @VivreNuit: What about snowglobes causes nightmares for your character? Is there a root to the fear beyond having nightmares?
A: It's too painful to discuss.
Q from @jojocanthink: What's your favorite episode so far?"
A: This season's "High Noonish"; however, the best is yet to come.
Q from @minuferdows: Has anybody told you, you look like the bad guy from Lazy Town?
A: Yes. My best friend's wife thought I WAS the guy from Lazy Town.
Q from @acubound05: Do you have any upcoming non-Psych projects we can be looking forward to?
A: I've always got something up my sleeve.
Q from @ Texasartchick: Would Lassie actually bust Shawn now if he got real proof Shawn wasn't psychic?
A: A priest will always need the devil.
Q from @NickYoung665: Who's your favorite guest star been so far?
A: We've had way too many to name just one.
Q from @destiny2711: Who is your favorite Psych character besides Lassie?
A: Carlton
Q from @themahler: First saw Tim on Deadwood. Is Lassiter your favorite role of your career thus far?
A: Pretty damn close.
Q from @hushstashes: Do *you* know what's happening on Lost?
A: A bunch of crazy *stuff!
*I edited that for the board, lol...
Also, I don't know why it's using all these funky colors and such. I'll try to fix that after I finish posting them.

The only spoilers in this interview is that they name guest stars for season 4. So MINOR SPOILERS contained in this video. You are forewarned!

Oh dear Lord, complete win with those pictures! Lassie gun porn is the best...
Hello all on this thread, this is my first time here! I was told to come here like 3 months ago but I lost my password (well, my EVERYTHING) for this site and now I'm finally back.
Anyway, I just had a psych-a-thon with some friends and every time Lassie did his sad face I would squeal! You know the one, he did it a lot in 'Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing' and 'Tuesday the 17th'
Several of my Psych-friends at school don't like him or think I'm weird for being basically in love with him and I really don't understand why it's so strange...
I bet its just because they never saw him 'dance' in "Luck of the Irish" Hehheh...

Welcome! And your nickname also reminds me of someone...Mrs. Spooky from the I-Maniacs.

She's super cool.

Haha, well thank you both! It's nice to feel welcome

And I used to be obsessed with the X-Files! My love of almost all things sci-fi got me the nickname 'Spooky'

And believe me, I'm always enjoying the awesomeness that is the Omundson.
