I believe I can shed some light on this subject for all my fellow Lassie fans.

Lassiter is not ejecting the shell casing. The spent shell on a semi-automatic weapon is automatically ejected to the side as soon as the weapon is fired, and a new round is immediately fed into the chamber. In that scene Lassiter is ejecting the unfired round from the chamber in order to unload the weapon, and it would not be hot.

Of course I think there's a continuity error there. Unless he ejected the magazine first, then another round would have fed into the chamber when he did that, but oh well. Maybe SuperLassie is so lightning fast that we all missed it!

I forgot about his Criminal Minds gun! I remembered kind of loving him as a psycho unintentional killer with a God complex (creepy, but AWESOME!), but I completely did not even think about the gun he had or how much Lassiter would drool over it!

also, i think Lassie's happier with conventional handguns. its Tim who probably flipped over handling the ginormous one.

I don't think Lassie would like it on a regular basis, but I do think he'd like to "play" with it for a little bit. I can see him getting a kick out of that.

Also a wonderful Lassiter moment. I think I may need to go watch season 1 again. I miss it. I think it's the one I'm most attached to, though I love the more recent seasons better. I don't really know why...

its because its like the baby of the series. some things are a little awkward, cause its all settling into a rhythm. its more truthful, which makes it more lovable, but not suave enough to be like the most interesting episodes.

Maybe that's it. I think it may also be that for a long time my Dish wouldn't work in my room so my season 1 DVDs were the only Psych I could watch without children around. It also meant that I could put in one of the discs and be entertained for hours while I did my homework without having to get up and go switch the DVDs. So it may really all boil down to my laziness. But I still love it!

Yeah, around the neck is pretty hot, but my vote has to go to around the eyes. It's the only time Lassie looks even a little vulnerable, and you have to admit that's pretty darn sexy!

If I must pick between the two I have to go with around the neck. I like the authority it implies, I suppose.

Honestly, it's not even kind of a toughy for me. Lassie in charge...that's just the way he should be! It's his element, where he's most confident. Confidence is key.

Gah, I hate to choose on this one, but I'd have to say I would vote for me taking charge of him. I would let him return the favor, of course. But the first time he has to do what I say.

I'm just generally more drawn to men who are in charge, be it platonically or romantically. I'm going to chalk it up to spending a lot of time on military bases while I was growing up. And I agree the poor man needs a hug (or several-I don't think just one would fix it).

I agree. They need to do more of that with Lassie. Tim's always so good in those scenes. Why don't they explore his character more? He's a big part of the show.
