Yes, I was excited to see that reply. Hopefully one of these days they'll at least do a podcast for the USA site, if not audio commentary for a DVD set. Since we obviously aren't going to get it for season 3, I'm hoping for him to do commentary for "High Noonish" at least for season 4, since it looks like a very cool Lassie-centric episode.

I just watched the new Psych commercial posted on the "Official Season 4 Spoilers" thread, new season looks great. But one thing I noticed...Tim Omundson's hair is SO SHORT! I mean shorter than I thought it would be! You only get a quick glimpse of the guy but, wow! Hard to tell from that clip but it might actually be shorter than it was in the pic from the LaBrea tar Pits museum that someone posted here a few months ago. I thought that if he just let it grow from that point it would be pretty much the same length it was for season 2, but it looks like he may have cut it again before filming.

I think we'll be able to tell exactly which season of Psych you're watching based on the length of Tim Omundson's 'do. I still say season 2 Lassie hair is my favorite...Anyone want to post a screencap from that commercial?

I just saw the newest season 4 promo video, and take heart - I don't think Tim's hair looks that bad. But it IS a buzz cut! Wow, never thought I'd see his hair quite that short as Lassiter. Though it does make sense, it's much more of a modern cop's haircut. Oh it would be too funny if Shawn asks him about it in the season opener. Hey, maybe Lassie always wanted shorter hair but his (now) ex-wife wouldn't let him cut it. And maybe he'll get some better ties this season to go along with the new 'do. He needs to get away from the $7.00 discontinued rack. Maybe he's just showing his new-found "independence". That headstrong dog...

I decided to re-watch "Six Feet Under the Sea" tonight. I'd completely forgotten how sexy Lassie/Tim is in this episode! He's so intense! It's all of our favorite-but-not-oft-seen Lassie attributes in one episode: chest hair, good tie, trench coat. He does his "tall step straight over the back of the chair" again. He doesn't fire his gun, but he does pull it, which is still pretty awesome. And the banter between he and Shawn is pretty great, too. How could I have forgotten how wonderful this episode is?!

I was just thinking about Tim O. stepping over the back of the chair last night! That's one of my favorite Psych moments, anytime he does that. It just kills me every time.

Actually I just re-watched "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" tonight myself. And for all you fans of the sternum bush, that's the most bare chest Lassie has ever showed to date (unless there's something I missed in the first palf of season 3). When he's sitting on the bench in front of the Psych office wearing Shawn's shirt, he's got at least the top two buttons undone and the chest hair is proudly displayed. Shirt is wide open. Go check it out, all ye who hail the squib!

Hey Tim O and lassie fans its a nice place you guys have build here! And yep i totally will miss his season 3 hair too but on the other hand Tim O looks good no matter what! Even if he wears his ugly ties he is still a HOT daddyo but even more important he is a really talented actor! I hope we get to see some nice Lassie stuff in season 4!

Bahiya, great screencaps! Of course, my favorite Psych-Outs always have Tim in them, too. Somebody found the "Leaving on a Jet Plane" one from season 1. It was pretty wonderful, and we found out he can dance!

I forgot about the "Psych-out"! Yes, that wins hands-down for most chest hair. But as seen on the TV show, the bench scene in "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" is still the best bet. Comes in second, but hey, I'll take it!

So it's really not so bad. It's just so...severe is maybe the word I'm looking for.

I tried to clean up the pic a little, and I almost wish I hadn't. His hair is buzz-cut on the sides. He looks like he's in the military.

I personally think the hair cut will grow on me... mostly because I *like* the buzz cut look on Tim, I'm just not certain about it for Lassie. I need to see him act in it to see if it 'fits' Lassie for me.

And I don't mind the military look... I grew up around an Air Force base (not the the Air Force enforces buzz cuts ) and don't mind a good clean, close cut.

Like I said, right now the cut is more "Tim" for me than "Lassie"... but I'm sure I'll get there!

I think the word you're looking for is "short"! I think it looks fine, as I've said it's actually much more accurate as far as a modern police officer's haircut. TONS of male Detectives/Officers have very similar haircuts. I do see Winky's opinion about wondering if it's right for Lassiter. It seems to me they were kind of almost going for the "retro" 70's - 80's "stiff-suit" detective hair style for his character for a while in the beginning. (Maybe the sideburns made me think that?) Maybe they're getting more "modern". I do like James Roday's slightly shorter hair, too.

As far as his haircut being "accurate": Hairstyle inaccuracies are so far down the list of things that are occasionally inconsistent it's not even funny, lol! There are Canadian flags on the streets of Santa Barbara and coats being worn in the background of summer shots, among other things, so I don't think the haircuts matter at all.

I think I'm really with Winky about the cut. It seems fine on Tim, but I just don't know that it's "Lassie" to me. I'll get used to it after the season starts, but as of right now it just doesn't feel right!

Like you said, though: he will always be full of Tim O. goodness. So everything will be okay, regardless of his hair!

My personal hairstyle preference for Tim is longer than what he's got currently. I love the natural waves that appear when his hair grows out.

After staring at Tim's Psych Season 4 haircut, I decided I wanted to see Tim with longer hair. (... not that I needed an excuse to watch Tim in 'Dark Skies' this evening
Tim's character would not stand still long enough for me to get a decent screencap(!) I tried anyway, and have shared the results below.

I'm rather fond of the first pic; however, I think I've provided visual support for those who would argue that Tim looks better with shorter hair by sharing these.

As far as "inaccuracies" go, I've seen some really funny ones on the show. In "Scary Sherry" during the shooting range scene, Goochberg gets 10 consecutive shots out of a 6 shot revolver. I know TV shows usually mess up the number of shots, but come on! And my favorite so far happens at the end of "65 Million Years Off". If you watch carefully in the background, you can see Corbin Bernsen at the bottom of the screen in his distinctive purple shirt creeping around the background behind everyone before he's supposed to show up. Go pop in the DVD and check it out, it's hilarious.
