I was sorting through pics today and came across this oldie but goodie:

I love all the pictures from that shoot! The colors they were working with were much better than earlier choices. My favorite ones from the shoot are in the hallway of the station, though. Thanks for posting it!

I've recently gotten Netflix and started watching all Tim's jobs. SeaQuest makes me laugh like nothing else! That hair/beard combo is ridiculous! He definitely does have the Jesus look going on, though. I hear that's something to do with how he got the Xena part. Anyway, I'll try and post some caps from SeaQuest if I get any decent ones.

Yes, I've seen him in Deadwood. I think that's the very first time I remember seeing him as an actor in anything, then I saw him as Lassiter in Psych and said, "Hey, it's the guy that got killed on Deadwood!" (as I've said before, that's no real spoiler. Who DOESN'T get killed on that show?) And yes, he is extremely naive. Be sure to listen carefully to the dialog during the scene where he gets killed. he says something that is so funny and sad you both laugh and feel sorry for him at the same time. Sorry, no spoilers on that one. Gotta watch it.

It's so funny to see Tim back then... especially since it was his second acting job, but he doesn't look nearly a young as he did in Seinfeld. And, sure, the scruffy look isn't what I go for, but still Tim!

It constantly amazes me how different Tim Omundson can look depending on the role. Being a chameleon is the mark of a truly gifted actor.

Isn't it crazy? I love that I can always completely believe whatever role it is that he's taken on. Bastard trying to take control of everything he can after the world's been blown to pieces? Nailed it! By-the-book head detective? Check! Crazy evil leprachaun and psycho serial-killer doctor? Got it! You have to admire the man's talent; there's just no other option.

Texasartchick--
Finally got a chance to read your fic.
I thought it was very good--your characterizations were spot on to all the characters as they are shown in the show. I like the read you took on Jules and how she likely is a bit flattered by Shawn's attention, but turns it away all the same and rebuffs his attempts.
Loved the plot and felt it was a very believable scenario. Especially loved the discussion between Lassiter and Jules over the "snake oil salesman." I thought that example was genius and a good comparison.
I do think a beta would help you clean it up just a bit... a few typos here and there (occasionally "Lassiter" or "Juliet" were spelled wrong)... and was the double "or" (Choose it or or lose it) in the title a typo as well? But I'm also a grammar nazi (what can I say, I will go back and edit my posts on this board if I notice a mistake or misspelling) so that con-crit can be taken with a grain of salt

If you ever consider writing another, I would certainly read it... and be more than willing to beta if you ever wanted it

Awww CRAP! Guess I need to go back and edit a bit. You're right, I probably should have had a beta reader go over it. Sometimes if you're writing something and you know what you want to say, your brain glosses over mistakes and you miss things. The fresh eyes of a beta reader could have caught those typos.
If you noticed any mistakes please e-mail me and send them my way and I'll clean it up.
But I'm glad you liked it anyway! I'll use a beta next time for sure!

When does he NOT have good hair? I'll bet he's even immune to "bed head". Just wakes up perfectly coiffed through sheer force of will.

Um...when he has no hair? I'm really not a fan of that look at all. I like his hair best from season 2 and 3. It's not completely perfect, but it is! Also, the coffee house 90's look is not a favorite of mine, either.
However, he always looks good in spite of what his hair looks like (and I can usually even temporarily forgive the occasional soul patch), and I'm pretty sure that can be attributed to his eyes.

I'd say I like the season 2 "Lassie hair" best.
By the way, I have a question for all the folks here on the board. I was just wondering...has Lassiter ever referred to Shawn by his first name? Not "Spencer" or "Shawn Spencer", but just "Shawn"? There are about 8 episodes I haven't seen from season 3, but I cannot think of even one example off the top of my head.

Ok, I went back and watched "Bounty Hunters" and saw the scene where Juliet calls Shawn on the phone then hands it to Lassiter. He sure did call him Shawn! Juliet dials Shawn and pawns the phone off on Lassiter, who takes it and stutters, "Uuh...hi, Shawn. It's...Carlton Lassiter." Then later the line that I think shows just so much growth for Lassie-boy, "Guys, I'm asking for your help. Don't make me ask twice." Woo-hoo, go Lassie!
Right after that, Shawn and Gus go ask the "grieving husband" if the bounty is for anyone that catches the killer. They confirm it is and go running to find Lassiter, who is sitting at Chief Vick's desk. Did anyone else notice what happened when Shawn and Gus burst through the doors of the Chief's office? I did...Lassiter is using a pair of eyeglasses to read over a file. He sees them enter the office and quickly hides the glasses. Guess that's his dark secret...
By the way, I think I like Lassiter's season 2 hair best now. It sure was lookin' sweet in Bounty Hunters. Maybe it's the Kangaroo Paste?

A few weeks ago, there were several posts (and pictures) on this thread concerning Tim's feet. I recently re-watched 'Gus Walks into a Bank.' In the scene where Shawn is about to boost Lassiter up into the bank's ductwork, Shawn says, "Give me one of those size twelve narrows."
Now if only Shawn would make a comment regarding Lassiter's height, somthing like, "You're six feet two of well done sizzling beef hotness," we'd be all set.

We've pretty much seen all of the Lassie pics out there; how about if I post a pic of Tim and Adrienne Wilkinson from Creation Con 2002:

Thanks! I'll probably get to work on another one sometime next week. I'm way too busy this week with work stuff. Doing some serious training in a four day, 40 hour course called "Officer Survival School". It is AWESOME! We spent most of the day today on an outdoor shooting range doing "officer down" rescue drills with patrol cars. You basically pile 5 cops into a patrol car, drive up to the victim, deploy, grab victim and stuff him in the trunk, then get the hell out of there. We ended the day doing this as a live fire exercise. Tomorrow we go to another outdoor range and get to practice shooting at cars.
I'll get to work on another Psych fic soon enough. This week I'm busy shooting machines and jumping out of car trunks (a.k.a. the "trunk monkey"). I LOVE my job! Man, the Psych producers should send everyone in the cast playing a cop to this type of training. Especially Sage Brocklebank. Buzz should be a trunk monkey for a day. If Tim Omundson liked shooting guns on the shooting range, he'd LOVE this $hit!

I have never seen that picture before, and I love it! Whoever picked that shirt out for him (if it was Tim, kudos!) should get a special prize. He looks very Grease-era John Travolta, but classier and just better all-around. (John Travolta could never top those eyes! I don't know that anyone can...) And Adrienne Wilkinson looks absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for posting it, bethgreen!
Texas, that sounds like an awesome work week! I don't even shoot things, but that really does sound exciting. The most excitement I've had in the past month or so at work was whenever I had to deal with a cop (who was very much a jerk-it was disappointing) because some kid decided to start flashing people. Yay for children without working brain cells! So yeah, there are occasional police reports, perverse old men with librarian fantasies, and people who get mad enough to just start throwing things at me. That's the extent of my work-related excitement. Oh, and if my boss calls in-that's always a guarantee for a good day!

Very true:
- Shia was one - did Even Stevens eppies on Indiana Jones and Surfs Up and ended up staring in both movies years later.
- Tim with his "Psychic-episode"
- Maggie staring in "Killer Hair" when she's dating a dude with "killer hair".

Oh no, the hair doesn't look like the early 90s! Well, maybe if the picture wasn't taken from the angle that it is it would. But the way the picture's shot, it reads very "greaser" to me. Am I alone in that?
Sure... the sides look greaser, but the puffy top-front?

I don't know...this is pretty puffy, too!

I think I maybe find it a little disturbing that Tim's hair could legitimately be compared to Zach's. I haven't decided for sure, yet.

I know, isn't it??
LOL, I do agree on the Grease comparison... but I think the 90's brought back a very similar look... or maybe it didn't quite go away. But you certainly don't see it nowadays.

I think you're right on that one. Guys' hair got progressively poofier until the early 90s. I think they finally decided to let gravity have a say in things.

Maybe this is where the inspiration for his hair came from. Same suit, even....
