Hi Bubba here, I have done this on other forums here and thought I would put together one for here as well because there are some new folks who have questions and would need it ...

Posting Pictures

I get ask this question a lot but, I don't mind answering it.

It's quite simple if you have a free account at http://photobucket.com/, that's the site that most of us use.

1. You will transfer the picture from your computer to the http://photobucket.com/account.

2. Once the image is in the http://photobucket.com/account,

3. Click on the the bottom line (of the four) below the thumbnail image.

4. Right click and then select copy that...

5. Point at your reply, Right click, select (left click) Paste - that will paste the image information onto the text area of your reply message...

6. The main restriction on posting images is that they are resized to be not larger than 450 pixels wide and this is to help those on the board that have their screens set to a larger image for viewing. (the edit function on www.photobucket.com has a built in resize function.)

Reporting Spam

If you see a spam post or a thread, please do not respone to it. Simply report it. Here's how to do it. Click on the thread and look under the username for a "Report" button, click on it and tell the Admin here, that it is a spam post or thread and he will remove it. That's it. You help kept the forum clean of spam. Wasn't that easy!

Birthdays

If you want your birthday added to the list, just leave your name and birthday and Spring will add it. Do not copy the entire list.

Thanks Bubba - I'm sure the newbies will appreciate all this but I actually learned a few things myself.

Thanks for all the tips and info, Bubba.
The only thing I can think to add is to try and remember that when the show starts it gets really hectic on here and it really helps if we try to keep one thread per artist for cheering them on.

But I'm still gonna run around and cause some trouble just for fun. LOL

. You did do a nice job putting together Pop's instructions on how to post pictures although I think you should have given credit to that wonderful man.

While it's dying down now and we have no way of knowing if there will be another large influx of new people

, I'd add that people need to read the threads before adding a new one. The information may already be available.

You are correct, Pop posted them back when he was here. He did a great job on them, I think a couple of us save them in case we need to post pictures. I had to update them a little because photobucket changed.

That's right as well. There are just here to help. Admin has been on, I seen him on a few of the forums here outside of Nashville Star.

Good luck with that one. I've posted it several times, even in the "Newbies" thread I started, and people still ask the same repeatitive questions.

I agree with you both. It most likely already been posted, (the information they are looking for) but, they want to be heard. Admin mentioned that new folks are likely to post before reading. So, please check and research before you post.

I like this thread. I just don't like that we're on the list of "former shows". Does that mean there won't be forum areas for each of the contestants? If so, I may leave for good.

All my hard work on the auditioners thread, and it's on page 3, lost in a sea of repetitive thread-ness.........

I noticed The Lounge is buried, too.......

I'm pretty sure that was Bubba's way of letting you know there are some helpful hints on things like how to post pictures and how to report spammers, in case you didn't know, because you are a fairly new poster. I took a look at your posts and I didn't see anything anybody could object to. Hope this helps.
