Hey guys, listen to this:

Kurt Angle shoots on Vince McMahon, Triple H and Shawn Michaels

A MUST READ

On Triple H burying him backstage when people cheered Kurt over John Cena – “Triple H obviously wanted to bash me because I was a better wrestler than him and I deserved to be in the spot that he was in but he was never going to give up, he’s Vince’s son-in-law.

“I had to deal with that stuff all the time. I’d wrestle Shawn Michaels and I’d get a little rough with him, then I’d get heat from Vince McMahon because I beat up on Shawn too much.

“So I’m like: ‘Well you know what, I’m tired of the two long-haired sissies. If they can’t go up against me then don’t put them up against me.”

On Vince McMahon – “TNA is where I want to be and I’m happy where I am. Vince McMahon can kiss my butt.”

That's a laugh. If Vince offered him his old contract, and a title run, he'd be back by next Monday.

As an entertainer HHH and HBK are superior as a wrestler Kurt is pretty much superior to everyone.

Seriously Angle needs to stop talking like a 12 year old. Sissies kurt? Kiss my butt? those are things my third grade cousin says. Kurt would drop TNA in a second if Vince gave him money and time off.

I'm not sure about that. I think he'd need to get a shitload of creative control before he would go back. Like Stone Cold type of control.
tnalockdownfan
I agree babaganoosh!

I think that the WWE should go back to doing what the WWE use to do during the Monday Night WAR as Jim Cornette mentioned:

Let them be themselves!

Nowadays, the wrestlers and the Divas/Vixens are now being told what to do, what to say and how to wrestle, and plus, he has banned holds, moves and even telling the announcers to tell stories instead of calling all of the action!

It's no WONDER why the WWE has been falling apart!

Problem is... he's not a Stone Cold.

This dude needs to come back down to earth. On his best day, he might make the Top-10 in the last decade of active wrestlers. He's very good, but let's see (in no order) Austin, Hogan, Bret Hart, HBK, HHH, Undertaker, The Rock and then maybe Angle. That right there doesn't even have him in the Top-5!

As far as ring skill, Kurt is awesome. But otherwise he needs a great gimmick to get him over. I don't know who he thinks he his when he says crap about HBK and HHH.
tnalockdownfan
Well Kurt Angle has did something that not even Triple H and HBK could do:

and that's hold 6 WWE Championships:

WWE European Heavyweight Championship def. Val Venis
WWE I-C Heavyweight Championship def. Chris Jericho
WWE Heavyweight Championship (4x) def. The Rock, Stone Cold, Big Show & Brock Lesnar
WWE Hardcore Championship def. RVD
SD! World Tag Team Championship w/Chris Benoit
World Heavyweight Championship
WCW World Heavyweight Championship def. Booker T.
WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship def. Rhino
TNA World Heavyweight Championship (Twice)
TNA World Tag Team Championship w/STING
TNA X Division Championship

Now that is history!
Axl
Thanks for reply TNALockdown. I really needed it, because of your Sting sig.

That's ANOTHER guy to bump Angle down the list. Wrestling history anothers ability, gimmick & mic skills, and Angle has ability & mic skills, but he's never had a gimmick.

Gold metalist? That's REAL interesting... dry.gif

Well people do better w/o gimmicks sometime, IMO!

I liked kind of how he was intense but otherwise Angle has had crap for gimmicks. All the wrestlers you listed had some sort of gimmick either way. Especially guys like Sting who had the whole The Crow thing and Taker who has the dead man and American Badass.

Wow, "long haired sissies." That's the best he could come up with? Really? Ok.

Well I remember STING saying that on the WCW Video Called Sting: Unmasked (and BTW, the WCW Videos are straight from their hearts) and STING mentioned that the reason he and Jim Hellwig (The Ultimate Warrior) had their faces painted was b/c when they were wrestlers, they looked awful w/o the facepaint, and so that's why STING decided to make the facepaint his signature trademark.

But in 1996 after WCW and Le Luger betrayed STING, that's when he started wearing the Black Facepaint and when STING was part of the Wolfpack, he wore Red Facepaint!

and The Undertaker had all kinds of Gimmicks from The Deadman to the American Bad Boy and now, back to being The Deadman, but w/a little mix of the American Bad Boy!

Kane's Gimmick was the trademark mask and now, he's wearing no mask!

and as for The Dudleys, their trademark was the Glasses and when Stacy was a valet for them, she wore the glasses as well!

It works w/them and it made them popular, not just b/c of their gimmicks, but also their wrestling style also!

STING is popular w/both of his gimmick and his wrestling style!
babaganoosh
Angle used to have his 3 I's...not sure if that counts as a gimmick or not. I still remembered when he tagged with HHH. He has his 3 I's, Triple H had his 3 H's. Together, they were HI HI HI.

Have you ever seen The Crow? He got inspiration from that movie. Just thought I'd say.

I would say that would be sort of a gimmick. Intensity, Integrity, and i don't know what else right now. Basically he's supposed to be an intense gold medalist. It gets really old and its a little boring and it doesn't put him over like it should imo. Its worse in TNA, he's just there.

It's damn true.

I really like Kurt. I think he's one of the Top-10 (ever), and I think he's a fantastic wrestler. Although his gimmick is bleh, I will say this, alot of his moves have 'worked' in-ring because of his gimmick, although for storylines it's kind of sucked.

Kurt is very friendly in person, very intelligent, and is a great guy to have a conversation with about the business. I agree with him on almost everything, and his admiration for TNA is admirable, but I just can't help but to take offense on the HHH & HBK attacks. Alot of people jumping on it too are the same people that still can't get over the Montreal Screwjob, and HHH & HBK's involvement in it.

I also feel his old paycheck, and a flexible schedule (not even creative control) would get Kurt back to the WWE. I also disagree on Kurt's comments about him being the WWE's 'biggest wrestler' and 'biggest money'. I don't believe him. 1) I know for a fact that HBK, HHH, Undertaker, and even John Cena are bigger draws than Angle. 2) Something tells me the highest paid guys on the WWE's payroll is Taker & HBK.

I think its living proof through some of the people on this board. Angle may be a big draw in TNA but really he can't hold a candle to HHH, HBK, and Taker. Those three can bring anybody to an arena. Really though I'm getting sick of these interviews where he just bashes HHH and HBK. It seems out of pure spite that he says those things.
tnalockdownfan
Well there are alot of Wrestlers these days that don't like Triple H or HBK, just like they don't like Batista or Matt Striker!

and as far as TNA goes, I don't know about Kurt Angle, but the only one that I know that is not getting well-liked in the TNA Locker Room is Brother Ray, b/c he was whining to Jeff Jarrett about turning heel and he also whined about jobbing to LAX many times.

and plus, Brother Devon is well liked Backstage!

Don't compare HHH and HBK to Batista and Matt Striker. And i think most of the people who don't like HHH and HBK are just plain jealous at how they hold a position in the company. Honestly though HHH and HBK have worked there way to the top. Especially HBK. You just don't get that kind of status with fans unless you really do deserve it.

LAX was so much better than Team 3D. He's just an idiot who should quit, he's terrible and so out of shape that he becomes worthless in a match.
tnalockdownfan
Well Slash, I'm just going to keep my cool!

You like HHH and HBK and I don't, but hey, that's just the way it is.

and I'm cool with it!

You do your thing and I do my thing!

But I do respect Kurt Angle though!
Axl
When guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin, and even Bret Hart, have complimented HBK's in-ring ability....

That's enough for me. The bottom line is the clique is alive and well. Since 1997, HHH & HBK have been Mac's go-to boys, and guys like Angle can't stand it.

I believe Austin said - "Shawn Michaels is the best wrestler to watch and perform with. I've never seen him screw anything up. To wrestle with him, you better pack a lunch, because he's the best."

or something like that.

From STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN. If that doesn't say anything, I don't know what will. Huge praises from guys like Hulk Hogan & Ric Flair back this up.

I think this is just a case of Angle being jealous, which is sad, because Kurt is very talented. He has no reason to feel insecure.

Yea i gotta agree.Kurt was one of the big stars in wwe.He should have just talked to vince and stay on SD/ECW were he could have been the BIG Guy there. To me kurt is just jealous, because HHH married Steph, and you cant blame HHH for it! And HBK is MR.WRESTLEMANIA! He's had some of the best matches in WWE and one of their best on the Mic!And also i believe kurt is a WIMP! He lefted wwe because of what? the travel? the stress? what a joke! Anybody getting in the wrestling biz better be prepared to travel constantley and being stressed, especially working for the BEST Wrestling Promotion in history WWE! Were all the money is! LOL! Kurt knows wwe is the place to be,ask any up and coming wrestler, where does he want to work? he will say WWE,you never hear anyone say i wanna be in tna!And the Montreal screwjob, people need to get over it,that was years ago! To me HBK and Vince did the right thing there! Bret could have screwed over wwe, could you imagine bret showing up at nitro with the wwe championship? So to me HBK and Vince were right!
tnalockdownfan

Angle sure as hell is. tnalockdown Bret Hart has said how good HBK was, it doesn't matter if washed up has beens like Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarret and who ever else says, HBK and HHH are some of the best ever. Angle just needs to stop bashing them, he should concentrate on pushing his own career.

by the way i dont care what anyone says but,CANDICE MICHELLE IS THE HOTTEST DIVA! lol
tnalockdownfan
You know something?

It's a good thing that I was watching WCW Nitro and Thunder and NOT Monday Night RAW!

Even when I was in High School, my friends and I would go to our houses and put on Monday NITRO, Thunder, Saturday Night and Worldwide!

I liked the Wolfpack BETTER than DX b/c they're TALENTED and NOT who's OVER!

Kevin Nash, STING, Lex Luger, Konnan, Macho Man and the late Miss Elizabeth!

Oh, and I do like Candice, but only as a valet!

I like other valets like Baby Doll, Nancy Benoit, Stacy Keibler, Sharmell and So Cal Val! biggrin.gif

I Liked wcw but i liked wwe better,i started watching wrestling like in 4th grade but in 5th grade at school everyone was talking about what happend the night before on Raw! WWE Was more interesting back then! Hey i hope tna picks up and can do better because competiton is good, but even if that happens, mcmahon will put on a better show like he did back in the day....but i hope tna does good,im just not a fan!
tnalockdownfan
Well WCW was the reason that I watched guys like STING, Chris Benoit and Arn Anderson and women like Kimberly Page and Madusa!

Well the WWE may not WANT competition, but he is sure going to get one!
ratedrko1
WWE Will still win! Vince is not scared of competition,i mean he did bury the wcw and ecw!

He could wipe out tna without going head to head on the same night!

he has the money to take away any tna star, but he dosent, instead he is hiring new young guys from the wwe's devlopment company,so tna can continue to breathe!

A few points...

1) Here we go again TNALockdown with the WCW propaganda. I'm still convinced your an anti-WWE spammer. Funny how the ONLY WWE wrestlers this guy likes, conviently spent several years with WCW.

2) Apparently Vince McMahon is going to have to finish off Ted Turner in Sopranos fashion, before some of these lame ass old school WCW, and now TNA fans, are going to give Vince credit for destroying WCW. Get this through your head.... Vince McMahon did not brainwash the world. WCW died, because the WWF put out a substantially better product!

3) HBK had NOTHING to do with Montreal. He was an employee of the WWF, doing his job. The same as I would've done, and just about anyone else. It's cliche at this point, but i'll say it again - Bret Hart screwed Bret Hart. His ego is the reason he was put in that situation. The pleaded with him to do the right thing, the honorable thing in the business, and lose the title to HBK. He refused. Twisted VINCE's arm to do what he did. Put to implicate HBK for all these years as a conspirator, is absolutely wrong. HBK had nothing personal against Bret, and enjoyed wrestling Bret. HBK did what he felt had to be done, and that was siding with his boss. And by all accounts he was correct. Vince even tried over and over to do the honorable thing and talk to Bret and try to make him understand where he was coming from. All he got for it was spit in his face, a broke jaw, and legions of losers who still haven't taken off their pink sunglasses. Bret Hart did put in the hard work to become one of the greatest ever. But Vince McMahon did have a hand in that too. After all those years of the WWF making him the legend he was, he should've done what was best for the WWF. Instead he did what was best for Bret, and Vince stopped him before he could do it. Bret simply thought he was bigger than the business, and i'm sorry to say that NO ONE is bigger than the business, including Vince McMahon himself. The thing is - Vince knows that. Unfortunately there's alot of wrestlers out there that don't, and Bret got HIS ego check at Montreal in '97.

The unbeliveable thing is to go back and watch the behind the scenes footage with Bret's wife, or girlfriend or whoever she was, telling HHH that 'what goes around comes around', and how he's gonna answer to God for what he's done.

Hon, it's wrestling. It's a business. It's show business. No one is bigger than the business. No one. Bret was heading to WCW with a very nice and fat contract from Eric Bischoff, and you're telling HHH how God's gonna strike him down, because the WWF stood up to Bret "Egomaniac" Hart. Seriously... get real.

Either way, it happened over a decade ago. Shawn Michaels has been CHEERED in Montreal since, so obviously they are 'over it'. HBK said it best - "I knew no matter what I did, i'd be the bad guy". And that's the God's honest truth. HBK was damned either way. He simply did what Vince ordered him to do, and history & time has since vindicated Vince McMahon. Unfortunately there are people who are still stuck in 1997, some within this own thread that can't let go, and for those people....

Honestly i don't think anything else needs to be said. Great post really, but the sad part is that tnalockdown will forever hold that against wrestlers. He'll hold the montreal thing against hbk and he'll hold the fact that guys who go to the WWE and are successful in the WWE only against them. Like they have an obligation to go to WCW or TNA or some Japanese or indie organization. Literally they need to, to get him to like them.

There's alot of guys that spent 2-3 years in WCW or other various wrestling companies. But like I said earlierer, how convient that some of his favorite wrestlers spent several years in WCW.

All he is, is Kane without the gimmick.
