Ok, so we are all going crazy waiting for Psych to start a new season, so why not pass the time with some laughs. If you are up to the challenge, we'll see if we can get a bunch of us rabid fans to piece together some Psych montages and put them up on Youtube for all of us to view and enjoy. Even if you don't know how to or have the capabilities to put a video together, you can still contribute by linking us to a fave video someone else has contributed to a video sharing site. (As long as you remember to ask them/credit them for the work.) I'm going to make a few videos in my boredom as well. We can do this in a few series of themes. Anybody want to nominate a theme for the first vids? I was thinking video tributes to 'friendship on Psych'. Any other ideas?

Whatever we decide works for me... I kinda need some direction before I do anything. The last video I've made has to be a year ago... I've vidded from the show Stargate SG-1, I've even made a few of my own original videos for school.

I have a few ideas, so here they are:

1) A video dedicated to the friendship of Shawn and Gus. Not very original, and there are a lot of them already. But I still would like to see another

2) I'm not sure that this would work, but one just for Gus. I'd like one that would somehow include all of his nicknames

3) One for Lassie . I don't know how this would work either. I just want a Lassie video, or maybe Lassie and Shawn. Nothing serious, it should be funny.

4) One for Shules BUT not like any normal Shules video. We would have to pick a song that is not serious, very lighthearted to show that they are good friends, and how Shawn casually flirts with her but there is nothing serious. NO clips form the close talking scene! But I don't know what song we would use, so I'm not sure.

5) One just full of clips of all sorts of crazy things. It could be Shawn having visions, him and Gus dancing when they solve the case, anything crazy we can find. There would of course have to be clips from American Duos

Sorry that some of them are kind of vague. I can't think of any songs to go with any of my ideas either, so if you have any suggestion post them!

Edit: Another idea for Shawn and Jules. It could be a funny one about how Shawn always tries to flirt with her and she never responds to it. We could have the clip from the Xmas special when he goes to hug her and she walks right past him, and all the scenes where Shawn tries to flirt with her and she gives him that smug "why do you even try?" look. Again, no close talking. Anyone know a song thet would go with this? Haha.

I actually have a psych playlist on my Ipod full of songs that are perfect for most of the situations suggested! I've been wanting to make a psych video for a really long time but I'm having trouble getting video clips. I have the season one dvd's and I have a lot of the videos planned out in my head but my computer doesn't have a working dvd drive so I can't upload season one to my computer. Anyone know where I can download clips for free?? I really want to participate in this challenge!

3) ... you'll come to find this out... Window Movie Maker doesn't like ANYBODY... it's not just you... it's the program itself. Quite nerve-racking if you try to put a special effect to a (less than) 3 second clip it messes up.... and the time when it took forever to finalize a music video... I could go on but yeah... i'm gonna stop... 'cause WMM works and it's free, and despite it's flaws, I've made some pretty decent videos.

and yeah, even though WMM is a pain I still have fun making the videos! I find myself jumping around like Shawn and Gus whenever have a small victory! Like when I cut a clip perfectly or the special effects look good!

so here's the thing, I got major lag with WMM and I'm finding that I edit it and have save it to a movie every 30 seconds, then take that movie and piece it into a collective timeline (if that makes sense...). Do you have a lot of room on your hard drive, like say 30GB... just because I wonder if I have to clean up my hard drive in order to make WMM run smoother. Either that or Intel Centrino processor ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Well, actually my computer has a portable hard drive in addition to the original, so yeah i'd say we have quite a lot of space!

I'm sure cleaning up your hard drive with help with your WMM but then again I could be wrong! Your problem could simply be Windows at it's finest!

All my psych episodes are on an portable drive with about 50Gig free space. The Movie Maker file is stored on the main drive... which has a decent amount of space. I used to have the file on the portable, but I noticed a decrease in lag when I moved it. Knock on wood, i'm working on the video right now... I better not have jinxed it! lol

Cleaning would do some good anyways... lol

No, I don't know how to make any of these cool videos myself, I don't think I even have a programme to. But there's this one girl (I think it's a girl) who makes these awesome clips and posts them on youtube.
She also does videos for other shows, but that's not so interesting.
Her Psych clips are awesome!!! There's this one to the song Numb by Linkin Park, and it's a Shawn and Henry clip and it's soooooo brilliant! I was nearly crying when I saw that.
