Full Version: Flair to face HBK at WrestleMania XXIV

It's becoming pretty well known that Ric Flair's final match will take place this year at WM 24. There's been alot of speculation as to who Flair will face. At first it was thought he'd put over Mr. Kennedy, a similar character for this generation, and even legends Hulk Hogan & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin put their names in the hat, requesting to be the ones to wrestle Flair, not that that would make much sense.

The most logical choice, has now become the choice. HBK & HHH have maintained the upmost respect for Flair, and several storylines have taken place. HHH will be involved in the main event for the WWE title, which leaves HBK, a legend, a main eventer, without anything really to do at WM, and so he will be the legend to face Flair.

Thoughts? Comments?

I personally think it might've made more sense for HBK to be in the main event against Cena & Orton, and for HHH to face Flair, considering their days in Evolution, not to mention the fact HHH has stated on several occasions that Flair was a major influence on him.

I dont like it.I mean HBK is already a legend and has made a name for himself and within 5 years he will proablly be retired.I wish a new younger guy would have faced flair.Somebody like Mr.Kennedy,MVP,BATISTA,Shelton Benjamin,CM PUNK.I mean who ever would retire flair,10 years from now could say ''I'M THE MAN''..''I WAS THE MAN WHO RETIRED RIC FLAIR'' I mean could you imagine, whoever retires flair will become a BIG name in the wrestling industry and that would put any of those guys on the map for sure and build their career and flair would have past the torch down to a new generation.5 Years from now hbk will be retired,so whats the point. As far as triple h goes i dont like that either.HHH is already a legend and 11 time world champion,i do think that it should have been BATISTA or RANDY ORTON to retire flair due to their evolution days and put them on the map for sure

The absolute best option in my eyes would've been Edge or Orton. Unfortunately, they are both involved in title matches.

Yea EDGE and ORTON are the top heels and would have been great.I would not have mind if Cena beat orton at No way out and fought Triple h at wrestlemania so that Randy could face Ric Flair.

Yeah, that could've worked, although an angle would've had to of been quickly cooked up for Orton to 'legend kill' Flair.

They could have had HBK come out to introduce Ric Flar as the first inductee in the HOF.Then Randy Orton come out and beat down HBK real bad and then start talking about Ric Flair ''doesnt matter'' and talking all kind of crap about everyone and that he wants a rematch against cena for the title.so cena come out and talk down orton and accepts and then William Regal make it official for the main event on raw. Then towards the end of the match,Ric Flair run out and screw orton out of winning the belt back. Then that could set up the match.

I actually like that. Too bad McMahon would've hated it.

Hi Bubba here, I don't want to see a Flair vs Michaels match at WrestleMania.
