What this?
"Seventh skein on USA's summer slate has yet to be decided. Cabler expects to greenlight a couple of pilots in the next few months with the aim of launching one of them as a series in the summer."

Admit it, Alex. You're just trying to mess with us. There was no reason to title the thread in this misleading way. You could have just written "Monk renewed" or "one spot left for another show". Be considerate.
Quofi
I already knew what this thread was about, since I saw that Monk got the renew prior to coming to check on this forum. I'm not surprised, it's the basis of their success (Along with 23 hours a day of Law and Order).

Anyway, this thread is off topic. There's the Monk forum, go there. Reporting thread.

Yes, that. Here is the translation: The network is looking for another show, and they would rather invest on something new, and take their chances, than bring cancelled shows back. The new show(s) is(are) going to cost them money, and they may be a disaster, but they may also be another Psych. The network is betting on that, rather than bring back a show that had record ratings in the beginning, but not so good ratings in the end.

To somebody who knows how to comprehend, yes it is.

You and I both know this article has nothing to do with The 4400, as supported by the very paragraph you insisted everybody to read. If you want to be a little more considerate, rather than a troll, feel free to change the title of this thread to "Monk Renewed".

Of course, if you're going to turn over a new leaf suddenly (that may be more incredible than The 4400 returning), you could henceforth claim to focus on the following line in that paragraph:

QUOTE
Seventh skein on USA's summer slate has yet to be decided

But for some reason, I don't think you cared about that line too much, as you don't think it has anything to do with The 4400, do you?

You know, alex, you say you like the 4400 but all you seem to be is a tick on people's nerves. What gives?

Anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature (in Celsius, not Fahrenheit), would have no trouble understanding that the network is looking for a TV show to run in the summer, and it would rather pay for new shows than renew The 4400. That is how this article has something to do with The 4400.

Furthermore, Monk is being renewed for a 7th season because of its ratings. See the network rave about it. This also has to do with The 4400. The 4400 was not cancelled simply because they wanted to make room for new shows. If that were so, why not cancel Monk? Ratings.

Additionally, you moan and whine about the network not "listening" to you, yet you do not listen to the network. This is what they are saying, loud and clear. They want shows with high ratings, old or new. If you really wanted The 4400 back, you would listen.

If any of you are Yahoo members this has made the most popular section of the news. So if you don't like this show sign in, and give it 1 star rating so we can get it off of the most popular news. I have said it before I'm not supporting any of there shows that they have on (Psych, Burn Notice, Monk etc.). I like Burn Notice but I will wait for it on DVD if I really want to see it.
You have to sign in to leave a rating.

I tried "Edit" -- "Find" and searching for The 4400 in that article, but nothing would come up. Guess I'm doing something wrong!

These well trained monkeys are quite superior to humans in finding The 4400 related articles. I'm so jealous! I guess I'll go have a banana.

Dispite your claims, people are 'bashing' you because you gave this thread avery misleading title. People clicking on this expect a direct detail to the 4400 and that fact that your first post leaves us to assume what you're saying (see what I quoted).

The bottom line is to think before you post.

As far as whether USA will take a chance on the 4400 or on a new show: it's still completly up in the air. The campaign to get the 4400 back could very well get the momentum it needs to make whatever this press release says obsolete. Only time, and our efforts, will tell.

As far as 'ratings' go, there's very little we as fans can do about that now since USA only airs episodes VERY early in the morning one day a week.

If the network wanted to get a good read on 'ratings' they may have at least given season 4 a weekend run on tv. The complexity of a good scifi drama makes it hard for people to pick the show up without going to watch a missed episode. Some simple veiwers of the series may be devoted enough to watch the show of tv but now quite to use the internet to watch what they missed. The 'cassual audiance,' myself included until recently, had really no say. There's still two 4400 episodes from season 4 I haven't been able to see in thier entirety.
