Reference away my awesome Valley. I could list a lot of examples where romance did not happen or did happen and ruined the whole show but I'm too tired today and my brain hurts. What works for one show/idea will not necessarily work for another show since they are not the same characters/people. Just because Mac and Harm got together it is not the cornerstone to build a romance for Goren and Eames.

(Moonlighting - ruined the show with the hook-up of David and Maddie, CSI ruined the show when Sara and Grissom hooked-up - wow a lucide moment in the haze of exhaustion)

Goren and Eames (and LOCI for that matter) are not set-up to be a romantic unit. They work together but they communicate little - it's been apparent on more than one occassion that they don't even appear to see each other outside of their work hours. (jmo)

As for the smiley face from cluck - I love that she sent it my way (thanks cluck) but when I first saw it, I thought of those maniacal clowns again and got skeered.

It didn't work on X-Files, either. I was a SHIPPER and I STILL hated it when they finally got together. I thought I would be ill when they kissed. It was a silly facsimile of what we thought their relationship would be. And don't get me started on the baybee.

The smiley is called "the biggest smiley in the whole world". But I didn't think they really meant that! LOL

I agree and I loved that show until it ended and I shipped them too. See what happens when I ship couples and they hook up. Show goes bye bye. This is part of the reason why I don't want G/E to do anything. Show will go bye bye. Also part of the reason I went Swiss. CSI, I couldn't tell ya. Don't watch.

I truly believe shipping of TV characters is highly overrated and can lead to the ruination of the show/plot as we know it. Characters are written/designed to be a certain way and we come to love those characters - any deviation from the theme can lead to the downfall/end of the show.

In this instance, I also believe that Goren and Eames simply do not have the 'shippy' feelings for each other that some people see (jmo). Have I mentioned that before?

Well i mean, the only thing we can work with, since we don't know how the show is going to end, is other shows. We can't see into the future about whats going to happen with Goren & Eames so we have to look to outside shows to support our theories.

If you remember Dani Beck, she is better off as Alex Eames' partner when Goren retires.

She is not HOT enough....scores about 60 on HOT scale........can't hold a candle to Eames who scores a perfect 100......Benson is about 90-95....

I believe that KE and VDO said they would on stay on the show together. Also, VDO said he has not intentions on leaving the show and plans to stay for a long time.

I saw an interview with VDO stating that he'll stay with the show for the long run. I still find it amusing that people think he's a 'tv star' who suddenly found fame. The man has an unbelievable list of movies made prior to and since starting LOCI. He's an actor first and foremost who simply enjoys working and providing his fans with outstandng performances (imo).




Here's to being old and decrepid with VDO - except for the shippers and a noromo or two who are just finding their 20s. I believe there are even a few shippers in their mid-teens.

&& they may not be 'lovers' yet, but they will soon tell eachother how they feel.

Not to repeat myself yet again but we are talking about two situations, two separte shows and four separate people. It would be like referencing Starksy & Hutch or NYPD Blue or any other show - it doesn't apply to Goren and Eames (imo). LOCI stands on it's own two (four) feet and can't be compared to any other show - different writers, different scenarios, different outcomes.

Those comments remind me of Elliot and Olivia in 'Fault'. I can patiently wait for that perfect time.
