I cant believe that USA would state such a falsehood and once again showing their preference for terriers and hounds!!! The announcer at the beginning of the show stated that the last breed to win twice in a row was the wire terrier in 1931. FALSE FALSE FALSE!!!! The Doberman won that honor in 1953 and the English Springer Spaniel in 1972. AGAIN...SHAME!!

I hardly think that they were showing a preference. David Frei has brittanies and stated such throughout the evenings. But the most successful over the years have been terriers - may not have won multiple years in a row, but have won more times than any other group. I think this is the point they were trying to make.
What I think is great about Uno is that he is the first beagle to have ever won a BIS at Westminster. And he has done it at the ripe old age of 3 so may have many more times to try for some repeats. We shall see - a lot can change in a year.
