One other thing. Does anybody know what happened to the PBGV, "Fairchild"? Last year< I saw this wonderful little dog in numerous shows and thought for sure I'd see it in the Nationals or Westminster this year.

Fairchild lost the breed to the one you saw last night. And she wasn't at the National I don't think.

Thank you. I guess there's no accounting for the judges. Talk about a screwup!!! Fairchild is the best I've ever seen, not to mention personality & showmanship.

Yes, Fairchild is indeed a pretty girl, however she didn't show her best in the breed ring during afternoon judging. Remember that she has been heavily "campaigned" for three years and more. 2, 3, and sometimes 4 shows a weekend, EVERY weekend, can get boring for some dogs after so long. I don't think that the PBGV that won (Ebeneezer) is a nicer speciman, but when you get to the level that these dogs are at, if they're not on their best game, they won't advance. Ebeneezer showed better, looked fresher, and was rewarded.

Hopefully, Fairchild will now get to go home and rest and chase all the bunnies she can find! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Fairchild looked great, but so did Ebeneezer. Take heart! Remember that Fairchild has done so much for advancing the breed. I heard many people ringside talking about her and lauding her for her accomplishments. I thought she looked great!! She will always be in the hearts of the PBGV folks for making the breed so well known. I feel so sorry for the dogs at Westminster. The benching area is a nightmare for the dogs. It's a wonder any dog can show after that experience!
