I was waiting for the dandie to show a friend of mine what they were what happened to her it says she was absent does anyone know ???

I was wondering about this too. It hit me last night - I realized they didn't show the Dinmont. I can't find anything on Westminster's site. Anyone know?

Yes I checked the site and all it said was that she was absent

The judge of the Terrier Group, Betty Anne Stenmark, is actually a breeder of record of the only Dandie entered in the show. It is against AKC rules to judge a dog that you have bred or own. I would imagine that the owner of the Dandie either goofed when the dog was entered (unlikely) or entered the dog as a "courtesy entry", to show support for the show, and to have a record that his/her dog was entered.

There was only one Dandie Dinmont Terrier entered for Westminster. That dog was absent.
So that is why one did not see any Dandie's on the Westminster show last night.
