Last year's season finale alluded to the devleoping relationship between Juliet and Shawn when they almost kissed. It seems like this season they've dissolved that bantor or connection between the two. Do you think so?? Does anyone know if that's going to come back? I think they are really cute together or atleast continuing to flirt throughout...it keeps things interesting.
ShawnSpencer
maybe they decided not to risk "messing up" the show. Maybe they thought people who like Jules and Lassy or Jules and Gus would stop watching and they didn't want to risk losing veiwers.
Bubba_Bridges
Hi Bubba here, they might try to pair them up later on in the series.
monkrocks12
I missed it as well. Maybe they are going to do it gradually so Shawn and Juliet don't peak too soon.

That's interesting. thanks. I don't necessarily need to see them as a "pair". I just kind of miss that spark between the two that kept you wondering. I hope they bring that back. smile.gif

It could also very well be because Maggie Lawson and James Roday are now dating in real-life. I don't know how that would conflict with writing but maybe it does.

i agree, and i think they are a really cute couple, and i don't think they should be 'paired up' in the show, but i think they should flirt a little bit more....

Pairing them up right away would kill all the tension and you'd lose that cat and mouse chemistry. I mean.. look how long Mulder and Scully went before somebody made a move. If they had hooked up, X-Files would have been gone after two seasons.... do you want that for Psych! LOL

Yep. But it does seem there is as much of the chemistry this season. Allways good though! I think Lassy needs someone. LOL

I want to see him paired off with a hard-ass just like him. Taste of his own medicine might leave a sour taste in his mouth.... funny chemistry there. HEHEHE

They really are dating in real life. I read it on wikipedia.

They probably will later.

Edit: Someone should should make a poll for this, I want to see how many people want them to be together and how many don't.

Like I mentioned on a differend site, I think that because Psych is only in its second season, it wouldn't be wise for the writers to create an episode where Shawn and Juliet get together. Sure, it would be great for the first few episodes, but honestly, the reason why I think that the chemistry between Shawn and Juliet works is because they aren't dating. (Is this making any sense?)

I think that they (mainly Shawn) should continue to flirt (come on; who doesn't love that?) for now. (And maybe, in the series finale, or the second to last episode, they should get together. wink.gif )

XD I think that it would be awesome for him to pair up with the rookie female cop that made an appearence in "Lights, Camera...Homicido." I definitely noticed some similarities between their attitudes.

I would hate to see that. Lassie is very straight-laced and committed to professionalism at its best, but that chick was just a straight up b*tch. Even Lassie raised an eyebrow. I mean, as we have seen, Lassie has a fun side, he just doesn't show it. Anybody who lodges a formal complaint against someone who gives you a cupcake...well.. dude.. theres just no help for you. LOL

They don't necessarily have to flirt or exhibit/enhance the tension in every episode for it to be considered ongoing, or gone for that matter. In fact, I think it's better that they don't. Makes it that much stronger when it's not a focus of the show and in every episode.

However, because it hasn't been a constant in-our-faces connection/tension that the show is hinging on, makes me think it wouldn't have that much of an effect either way if they did get together or not. I still think, though, that it's probably best that they just flirt now and then versus getting together, just to be safe, until a much later point in the series.

Honestly I want Shawn all to myself. So keep playing hard to get Juliet, and Shawn just can just come hang out with me! biggrin.gif

James did say in an interview that the "almost kiss" scene was just that and that there weren't any plans in the script for a romance between the two. He said he felt bad if people got their hopes up. I do notice that the flirting between them has died down. Maybe because she's rebuffed him so much. In one of the more recent episodes he told Juliet that she had her chance. My opinion is that it's natural for us to want to see them together BUT like someone here said, if you do pair them up then you need to focus on the romance, Shawn wouldn't be able to flirt with or chase other girls, and the excitement of the chase would be over. I think it would be too detremental and could kill the show as well. I say keep it as it is for now. Don't fix what's not broken.
PsychJujuPineapple
I'm not surprised that nothing is happening with them right now. I don't think the close talking was supposed to make us expect more, but actually to tell us NOT to expect more. With Shawn just randomly flirting, you never knew what Jules was really thinking. In the close talking scene, Jules basically tells him flat out that them being together would be a "mistake". Relationships don't work when only one person likes the other, so there's no reason to expect anything now anyway.

But as I've said before, it probably will happen before the show is over.

Well, didn't he date an artistic-type once (with a nose ring)? Why not "fully disclose" that as one of his earliest relationships which resulted in a daughter (I hinted at this in the "episode ideas" thread), and have the daughter appear not only once, but in several episodes.
