Full Version: Vince's Incest Obsession
USA Network Forums > USA Network Originals > WWE Raw
Spykat
I guess most here know that Vince wanted to have a storyline that he was the father of Stephanie's baby.
Showing some rare good taste in the McMahon family, Steph nixed that brainstorm.
Not giving up, Vinnie brought up the idea to have Shane be the father.
Again, "No".

Before that, there was the proposed angle of "brotherly & sisterly love" between Ken Shamrock & his supposed sister Ryan.
Ken declined, and thus ended his push.

Never one to abandon a bad, distastful, & perverted idea, Vince and his obsession for incest was found in an article on wrestlingzone.com:
Article

We've been reporting here that Vince McMahon gave the "go ahead" to do an incest storyline. The two characters involved are Paul Burchill (formerly a pirate) and Katie Lea (formerlya cheerleader). The gimmick is that there is sexual tension between Paul and his sister Katie, who manages him. The sinful duo made their debut in a dark match at last night's RAW. Before the match, Katie took the mic and said that all she wants is to see her brother win. Burchill responded, "What Katie wants, Katie gets." Week by week, WWE will drop hints as to what it is that Katie wants (her brother). The characters are scheduled to debut on either RAW or ECW in the coming weeks. Even WWE knew this gimmick was too "out there" for SmackDown, which airs on network television in primetime.
^~^~^~

What's up with Vince anyway?
Weirdo.

Well that's easy.

Vince is a sick-minded man as he has been for a LONG time.

It's no wonder why alot of people are not happy w/the WWE's product.

...and the thing is, when fans, the network, and morality groups complain, Vince won't get it.

That's because controversy is almost always, if not always, good for business. It's likely that more people will be tuning in to see what all the hype is about than people who will be tuning out because it's gross. Controversy is what helped make the Attitude Era so huge and I'm guessing that this is somewhat of a poor attempt to recapture some of those higher ratings. I'm not saying it's right and I really don't want to have to see it, but it doesn't surprise me anymore.

Like Ladymahagony said controversy creates ratings and ratings create cash. The Vince vs. Shawn Micheals and God storyline anyone? Yeah its gross but if people watch it then they cause ratings. Personally i wouldn't watch it because thats just messed up. One thing that you can count on with the WWE is that if they apologize for it, it was meant to happen and if it just happens then they don't say anything.

Hi Bubba here, I agree with everything you guys said. I'm not watching either.

that whole God Storyline was WAY over the line and it is a sin.

and here's something else:

Konnan said in one interview that he found the whole Edge/Vickie Storyline offensive.

and that was b/c Vince McMahon wanted SD! to be more like RAW ever since London & Kendrick, Mr. Kennedy and Jillian Hall moved from SD! to RAW!
TornadoDDT
Sure this is gross, but the thing is it could be good for the womens division if Katie Lea were to wrestle more than manage. She was the one that wrestled Beth Phoenix in a ladder match in OVW. And Katie Lea is probably my favorite in the wrestling development area. Go to ovwrestling.com and look at her profile, she is real great. But if they decide to do this just for the sickness and not have her wrestle, then screw it, they'll just ruin her!

But thats the whole point of the storylines. To offend people so they watch. I personally watched the God storyline only because of HBK. And plus i thought we got a great match out of it at Wrestlmania.

Sure, when Vince wants it done it's all over national television. But when I want to do it...wait...

Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. I've seen pictures...

Hopefully he got this out of his system last time, because rumor has it Steph is pregnant again!! Best of luck to HHH, Steph and their growing family!!!

I'd probably be disgusted if I didn't know that Paul and Katie weren't related. At this point in my WWE watching career, all I can do is rolleyes.gif and hope that Victoria makes her way back to Raw and is involved in a Women's Championship feud with Mickie.

Of course, with that promo warning us that Candice is coming back, and Maria possibly spreading for Playboy, that won't happen anytime soon. sad.gif

Good god Vince.

I mean, I can see the guy's point of 'controversy creates ratings', but this would've been an angle that would've plainly grossed fans out... mainly because most wrestling fans have been there.

I'm kidding. I'm jokin' around. wink.gif

LOL. It is pretty disgusting but there would probably still be people who would tune in. I wouldn't because its just weird.
