Here is a little "whitty ditty" about my use of the Monk Board
I love to read
The Monk Board
It makes me
Feel so good.
I love to do
Exactly as the
Members think
I should.
I love the
Monk Board
Oh so much
I never
Miss a day.
I'll even love
The men in white
Who'll be taking
Me away!
If you would like to respond to this please try to do so in some silly poetic form. Any Monk subject accepted.
Dedicated to Aldebaran

We're glad you like the Monk Board,
We really like you too,
And since you like The Monk Board,
Here's some things that you should do:
You can say Sharona's spunky,
And Natalie adds spark
But, never ever ever
Say that "Monk's Jumped the Shark"

Julie, Meany, Miny, Moe.
Catch an Ambrose by the toe.
It he hollas let him go.
Julie, meany, miny, moe.
Jingle Bells.
Dale smells.
Disher laid a Peg.
The captain's car, lost a wheel
and the Monkeys got a way.
Old Monk Donald had a farm.
E-I-E-I-O.
And on this farm he had some Chicks.
E-I-E-I-O.
With a Sharona here,
and a Natalie there.
Everywhere a Gail, gail.
Oh where the hell is Dale.
Old Monk Donald had a farm
E-I-E-I-O
...and Benji was his name o!

enji

enji
and Benji was his name oh!

LOL. good one.
If I were you, I wouldn't ....."...do Exactly as the
Members think I should."
I for one have already been carted away in that coat of white.
B.
I wonder if I look good in white....

Hey, great responses. Keep them up I love it - and no I don't think I would "do exactly as the members think I should" but thanks for the warning.
When reading on the Monk Board
Some writings sound insane.
When the men in white come knocking
I'll let Adrian take the blame!
How do you make these instant graemlins come up? Help!

I agree Sharon's spunky
And Natalie adds spark.
So please I ask you,
Promise me you'll
Shoot me in the dark
If ever I would ever say
"Monk has jumped the shark."

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I love the Monk Board,
And so should you !!
I didn't read all the other posts, so I hope no one else wrote this. I can't imagine, since its so original !!
I never get bored with the board.

Yo DJ!
Bring the bass.
All you wannabe's out there,
make some noise.
Everyone wave your hands in the air.
Wave it like you don't care.
Holla!
Now scream.
Ready?

I like the Monk show
and I can't lie.
He's just one cool ass guy.
He got Sharona and Natalie by his side.
Benji and Julie too.
Now only if Disher would get a clue.
Leland, Leland is our Cap.
And Ambrose isn't such a sap.
Now if only Dale wouldn't eat like a whale.
Maybe he have a chance with Sharona's sister Gail.
I'll be back.
And that's the facts...Jack.

Now Monk has his quirks
That leaves an impression that lurks
In the mind of Ms Teeger
As she tries to figure
Out more of what makes
All the things that it takes
To keep Mr. Monk going
With both of them knowing
He can't rejoin the police
until he finds more release
from the grief over Trudy
whose death was so rudly
and tragically a shock
that Monk came to possess
more which made him obssess
over things so compulsive
they became more devalsive
to the Captain who still sends
the message to Monk that
he is still counted as one
whose admired and one of his friends.

Should say...
over things so comppulsive
they became more repulsive
no such word...devalsive

Hooked on Monk and want to talk?
Tell the cast you think they rock
Watched an episode and want to share?
What you thought, of course we care!
Don’t think you heard the dialog right?
Someone here will help your plight
Got a question and want to know?
Where is Bitty? Why did she go?
Discussion about Monk’s gals’ attire
Is something we surely never will tire
Solve the murder of his beloved wife
Will Adrian then have a happy life?
Season finale? How can it be?
New episodes in January just for TV
And just in case you can’t wait
A Christmas episode they will create
Topics sometimes are a little strange
But usually start a lively exchange
This is the place to hear it first
If information is what you thirst
But be aware that once you’re here
Your Monk addiction may become severe

These have been some great responses, excellent little "Whitty Ditties" - Keep them coming.
Here's another one -
We're unhappy
We're going crazy
Yes we are
I know we are!
Now that Tony's filming
For the coming season
We'll have to wait
We hate the wait!
The leaves will be turning
The snows will be falling
Before the season's here
Sometime next year!
We're glad we have each other
It brings us all together
It's plainly clear
Mr. Monk's right here.
Crazy anxious Monk fans
Devoted to the Monk 'Clan'
We keep him near
We talk about him here.
No matter what the topic
Someone gonna top it
Let's hear a cheer
We all can hear!

Thanks! I am really pleased with the responses I've had so far. Wish more 'witty ditties' would be added. I love playing with words . The haiku's are so wonderful I try to add a few here and there and of course I can't resist coming up with a OCD!

No body caught it and I was sure Cyn or Tami would - there is no such word as 'whitty' when combined with 'ditty'
Always had a problem with 'h' after 'w', like -
WHO? WHAT? WHEN? WHERE? AND WHY? SO IT FOLLOWED THAT WENT SHOULD BE *WHENT*
My maiden name was Williams, funny I never put a 'H' in there.
I suffer from brain/mouth dyslexia - seems I always try to put two words into one or mix them up like when I was trying to tell my grand daughter I had lots' of extra 'knitting needles' but it came out "nerting kittles" Oh, the fun of getting old, did I really say that

Writing on The Monk Board
Is really too much fun.
It makes the time fly faster
'Til January comes.
Counting to a million
Started out with number one.
To quote the Redneck, Larry
We're gonna 'get er done.'
Re reading all the haiku's
So many great one there.
You put together episodes
Before they'd even aired.
Coming up with new posts
Can really be a chore.
New ones keep on coming
We always need some more.
Some it seems have left us
New strangers still appear.
Then magically you pop up
With words we want to hear.
Made a few new friends here
Perhaps some enemies too.
When it comes to missing Monk tho
I knew you'd pull me through.

SO GLAD to read that someone else mixes up words like that!! I've done it for years. I had a doctor tell me once that I think faster than I can talk (didn't think it possible)and therefore, mix up words because I'm 3 thoughts ahead of what I was saying.
Can't think of a Monk poem about the board right now, but writing poetry is one of my specialties, so I'll come up with something later.

Meme, so very glad to hear I'm not the only one to mix up words. I often try to combine two or three words into one when I type which just looks like a lot of gobble-de-gook so I try to make sure I proof read every thing I type.
I think the Dr. was right because the thoughts I have do fly faster than my mouth can say them, or sometimes, when I am distracted and not paying much attention to what I'm saying it comes out bass-ackwards!
I'm going to hold you to that poem. I love poetry and often think in rhyme which can be confusing - to me - not to others. They think I've just made a silly little pun.

I call this one -------"Friday Night"
Getting the customers out the door
Can really be an awful hard chore.
This working 'til eight, time is too tight
I can't work late on a Friday night!
Over railroad tracks and stoplights, three
Two miles down the Sherman Ave trail.
Racing home to turn on my TV
Monk rerun on at nine, a must see!
Adrian sleuthing, mystery, chrime
Hands forming each scene finds the timeline.
The detective with eyes out for clues
Everyone knows Adrian rules.
'I've solved the case!', but Natalie knew
Her boss was brilliant, he'd come through.
Stottlemeyer says 'This is not new'
He is the Man, his instincts are true.
Fortunate me, this is like heaven
Reruns start again at eleven!
Frame-by-frame he puts on a great show
Better watch out, Nat throws a great blow!!!
