Hi Bubba here, I'm not sure. You might want to check out Hallmark's website and see if they have any information.

"The Good Witch 2" (sequel) production starts this month in Toronto - to be shown next year.
IrishLady
I rather enjoyed that movie. It was nice to see her playing a somewhat softer character.
Derek_D
Anyone else think that the Good Witch would have been a great reunion vehicle for Catherine Bell and DJE? There's even some physical similarities with Chris Potter.

Just more wishful thinking on my part?

I agree, and would like to discuss. Can you say what is different between Mac and Cassandra that makes Cassandra "softer", and what is "nicer" about that difference - perhaps examples from "JAG" and "Witch" that contrasts their personalities, or perhaps an experience from life that informs your opinion?

I agree, and would like to discuss.

OK, I will go first.
Cassie chose to trust in a bum (discouraged by judgmental people, finding solace in a bottle) and benefited from his plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills. Cassie used patience to teach Laurie a technique of self-hypnosis to overcome fear of nightmares, which encouraged her brother, Brandon, to look for a quick fix to solve his problem with a Kyle the bully. Cassie was humble ("I don't make the rules.") and suggested an adventure to Brandon that resulted in his appreciation of his father's love.
Now, to quote Cassie, "It's your turn."
IrishLady
What I meant was that Mac was a tough Marine who had a lot of hardship in her life. She was less inclined to trust in the innate goodness of people. With Cassandra, that was the first thing she saw in people, their good sides.

Actually, many people don't demonstrate goodness - at least, not all the time.
It is my opinion that the war between faith and doubt never ends.
We are conceived with a trusting spirit. At some point, doubt challenges trust - and eventually overpowers. Sometimes, it is imperfect parents (in the womb, in a highchair observing anger, in impatient discipline, in abandonment, etc.). Sometimes, it is imperfect school teachers, ministers, friends, or lovers.
So,we rebel, believing that we can be more perfect - but we, too, fail - painfully.
Oy vey! - Can't trust them - can't trust me.
So Fate comes along and says, "Trust me smile.gif"
Living a trusting life requires practice (trust > fail > trust again > hurt . . .). At some point, trust diminishes doubt.
You may say, "Faith? - shmaith! I trusted my parents, teaches, priests, friends - and look where that got me.
Perhaps there is a difference between childish faith and child-like faith.

You're such a dope!

Diderot said: children are essentially criminal. A child’s mind in adult body with adult freedoms is disastrous
Child-minds are disguised because those who share their life display similar immaturity

Thanks for the promotion. All this time I thought I was such a jerk.

John Adams' last public word before he died on 04July1826 was, "Independence - forever."
Clarence Thomas once said, "The dirty little secret about freedom is that - you're on your own."
Carl Jung once wrote, "Allow fantasies and mood freedom to express - or they will blast out at the most embarrassing time and place." (Transcendent Function = cooperation of unconscious and conscious)

I haven't seen "The Good Witch!" Does anyone know if it is out there anywhere to rent or buy?
ed_JAG
"This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer."
I don't own a copy - otherwise, I'd invite you over to watch.
Since it was one of Hallmarks' most popular, I expect that it will be shown, again, as a "teaser" for the sequel.

Thanks for the info. If you see that it will be aired, would you please post it here? I'd really like to see it.

Hey Bookgirl - here's something that may sustain you, until "The Good Witch" plays again.
It is ~10 minutes of trailers, interviews, out-takes etc., that was made for the premiere showing.
Go to Hallmark schedules (http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/publish/consumer/home/schedule0.html)
Under "Tune in Listings" click on the letter "G"
Then, in the "G" listing, click on "Good Witch The"
Then, click on the link in red font "Good Witch The"
Depending on which browser you use, you may get a "Chinese Simplified" offer > click CANCEL button
Then, sit back and enjoy.

I suppose it's easier to go directly to:
But now you can find when "The Good Witch" will be scheduled for replay.
And someone who watches Hallmark a lot can check if video clips are available for a favorite movie.
