It seems like, even with all he's been through the last couple of years, it would be "unnatural" for him not to date at all. As long as the writer's do it well (and I have no doubt), it could be a good turn for the character.

As long as she doesn't wind up being the victim of a serial killer,and as long as Goran and "whoever" actually have some chemistry. Remember the horrible story line on Miami Vice, where Sheena Easton played Sonny Crockett's wife briefly? NO chemistry at all. Then they killed her off.


Oh, and it can't be Eames.

Mixed feelings, truthfully. Off-camera with mentions of someone possibly but definitely NOT EAMES.

I wouldn't mind references to an off-camera romance, as long as it's with someone who's not a cop.

I wouldn't mind a romance for Goren. She has to be normal, but intellectually stimulating for him. I could start my acting classes now if he is willing to wait for me. You're right...he is aching for a little bouncy-bouncy. He needs the release...err...relief.

And it should be short-lived but passionate. A long drawn-out romance (will he get married, etc.) would make it kinda "icky" for me and distract me from his character. His psychological pain and burdens make him so interesting.

I wouldn't mind a romance, so long as it's off screen and doesn't become part of the drama.
If either Goren or Eames date there should be a few ground rules for the prospective "other":
1. Thou shalt not become the suspect in a crime
2. Thou shalt not be related to a "high official" in the police force (ie - Goren can't date Ross' ex-wife)
3. Thou shalt not be a mafia daughter/son, that's lame
4. Thou shalt not DIE as part of the crime plot of the show
5. Thou shalt not be kidnapped as part of the crime plot of the show
and the high holy commandment
6. Thou shall be the B-line plot and know thy place!

I don't know if this should be another thread, but I could SO see Eames in an on-screen relationship. Would he be threatened by Bobby? Would he have problems with the dangerous aspects of her job? Would he be a needy guy? We could see her get dressed up after work (in deference to OG52 and the rest of the gentlemen ) to meet her "beau"

I wouldn't mind if Goren had a love life as long as it was in the background and we only got subtle hints now and then. I don't want any outside story line to overtake the "police" part of the show.

I think we might have a hint of a date or something else, but, I think this season will be a healing season, I think any romance will be next season if we get one.

Bobby has too few episodes left, and too much he is going through to have time for dating right now, He is looking for a nephew, going through psych evaluations, just dumped his brother, still healing from the lose of his mother, I think he needs to heal first, then pursue a relationship, so next season would probably be the right time for that. But how Bobby would court would be interesting. Maybe he could meet a caring woman in a support group. They could go out for coffee afterwards, and Things could blossum from there?

I hope we don't see that. SVU has turned into a horrible soap opera because of the romance story lines, I would hate to see that happen to CI

I would like Bobby to have a romance, if a crossover (perhaps one day : I can dream ) would take place in France. Bobby may have a love affair with a French young Interpol policewoman : why not !! And he could bring back her with him in the MCS for a traineeship .
