Hey whoever out there from the 4400 world, you top producers, sripters, directors whatever!! Instead of getting tied down to another season and all that work that goes into it, make a good feature length film to end the whole series... theres way to much up in the air and so much suspense in the series to just up and leave now... my susgestion is a good feature length movie. In my opinion would suite the situation perfectly

To be completly honest that wouldn't actually make for neither a good or cohesive ending The 4400 just has way too many character arcs and too many lose ends to be resolved in a 2 hour feature.

and plus The 4400 is already a one hour series it would be likewatching a finalie or season premere you know

Yeah, I think they should do a mini-series - if they was to get anything.. a new season I doubt they'll get, so I'll hope for the mini-series alternative!

A movie? I can't really see that. Nor can I see it having a huge appeal in the theatres. LOST...maybe, the 4400...I just don't see it.
IMHO, the best we could possibly hope for is a wrap up mini-series. While I'd LOVE a 5th season, I don't see it happening. Something that gives closure on...Tom, Jordan and Seattle would make me happy.

No.. a mini-series is like the first season of the 4400. only 5 or six episodes or so... They accomplished a lot in the first season, so I think they could manage to end the show with one too..

DAYDREAMER to your question on what a mini-series is.. It is about half the episodes of a regular season or even sometimes can just be two or three episodes but a lot of the time the episodes of a mini-series are longer than an hour sometimes lasting two hours or more.

By the way, like out of the thin air.. does anyone know how the strike is going? I'm getting really impatient with it! And on their main-page they only talk about all the shows that return, and nothing about any progress. TV in Europe doesn't cover the story much either, so its hard to get a concrete answer...

They are still in the thick of it. Leno (w/out writers) and Letterman (with Writers) come back on tonight (Jan 3)
Daily SHow and Colbert come back next week sans writers
Expect the Golden Globes and Academy Awards to be effected too.

That one was in the can before the strike. ABC was wondering how and when to air it as it was supposed to be a 2 part midseason finale. There were talks that Season 5 would start with that one. I guess they were "desperate" to air that episode.

I too would love a good movie to wrap up our favorite show. Actually, a 4 hour one would be perfect; to air over two days. Not that I don't want our series back; but if this is an alternative to having the show on fulltime; then this would be a perfect way for Ira, Scott, Amy, the other writers and the wonderful actors to wrap up the story lines and their characters. Let's hope we get something.
