Wow, look at all the countries represented in this thread, it is amazing!!! At the end of a year that still finds many places in the world in strife, it is wonderful to think of the hope a new year represents, a hope for peace and prosperity for all. And this thread cheers me, seeing how "Monk" has touched so many people from so many different cultures...we're not really so different after all, once we get to know one another!

I'll make it a nice, even, Monkish, two from Minnesota, me 'n Kelo, wishing everybody a happy, healthy New Year....and wishing for a season seven announcement soon.....!!!!

All right, what's the quarter thing, I have never heard of this! Is it supposed to bring good luck, or is it only lucky for the enterprising soul out late tonight, picking up everybody's quarters?

TheOddJen says if you place a quarter outside overnight tonight it is suppose to bring you good fortune, or something good. I'll try anything once, LOL, I need all the good fortune I can get!

Basically, there's a New Years tax... Just kidding.

My mom is raving about her lucky quarter over here because it's not even midnight yet, and she found $105 already.

Edit: And 25 Euro. Guess the luck is a worldwide thing?

Thank you smile.gif! I made the wallpaper out of many pieces/pictures (TS, firework, bottle, cork etc.) It is a photomontage. But I donīt make the Silvester firework photo, if you meant that.
