If there are any former "JAG" watchers out there, have you ever noticed the very strong physical resemblance between James Roday and JAG's PO Jason Tiner, played by Chuck Carrington? I think he should show up on the series as Shawn's unknown half-brother, or a long-lost cousin (that might be less soap opera-ish!). He could be a skeptic or a con-man, a good guy or someone out to discredit the Spencers, or any other multitude of characters. Maybe even a Naval lieutenant. biggrin.gif

Just think of the possible interactions between Corbin Bernsen and Chuck's characters, since the actors appeared together on JAG. Tons of little 'in-joke' possiblities there. I think the writers (bless their hearts, I hope they can all get back to work soon) could have a blast with that! And Gus could feel threatened by this new guy, things like that.

I would really love it if they decided to cast someone to play Shawns mom. We could see a whole other side to shawn that we never got to see before

That could be interesting. Long lost cousin seems a bit dramatic, maybe a cousin he hasn't seen since he was a kid. Then he and Shawn's relationship could appear in the flashbacks!

Hi Bubba here, that's a pretty good idea.

Seriously though, IMO, I think if Shawn ever had a cousin she should be a girl, and she should be a teenager/early 20's. Just think about it, it would open up a lot of funny scenes between her and Shawn, plus the other characters for that matter.

I mean can't you picturing her messing up Shawn's "cool dude" attitude on purpose by doing stupid things to him in front of Juliet? I don't know I just think it would be funny to see Shawn trying to handle this hyper active, pop up out of no where, pretending to be psychic, tag-a-long girl.

Also, if it was a girl, couldn't you just picture the scenes with Henry, Gus, and Lassiter already? Henry would certainly be thinking something along the lines of, "I hope you don't plan on living with me, I'm done playing dad," but would probably look out for her just the same way he does for Shawn.

Gus will probably either get along well with her, because it's someone else on his side to pick on Shawn, or he'd complain about having to deal with her randomly popping up everywhere and possibly giving them away to the police for being fake psychics.

Lassiter will probably be annoyed, and would be trying to figure out where he messed up in life that he now has to deal with both her and Shawn.

i'm right there with you on this one. there are so many possibilities they could use with that one. that would be pretty funny tho. they could mix it up a bit that way. and maybe her and gus could possibly hook up or something like that. something to think about tho. GOOD LUCK WRITERS!!!!!!!!!

That would be good, it would be funny to see Shawn being embarressed instead of him embarrssing Gus or someone else, just for once biggrin.gif .

The comedian Dane Cook resembles James Roday as well. And I would think older cousin who beats up on younger cousin would be a good role for him.

Maybe for one episode but to add another cast member when everything is still clicking is a death sentence.

Talk about jumping the shark.

Right, I HATE it when shows are already really good and then they add a new character to try to make it better and they ruin it. Guest stars only!

lol I know, I would have to agree, I mean I like how they do it with Gus' family, randomly have them in an episode, but then that's it, they're gone after.
