Psychopathy is a personality disorder. I'm not sure it's defined as a disease. Some psychopaths seek out dangerous activities. Psychopaths essentially are lacking a conscience, which is what makes them fearless. The ones prone to violence are extremely dangerous.
A good book on psychopathy is "Without Conscience", by Robert D. Hare, PhD.
