Maybe I'm not clear on the concept of a "Director's Cut"...
Maybe I'm mistaken about the meaning of "Unedited"...

I'm just guessing, but I'll wager that the version of this film that the director prefers does not include overdubs and cutouts for "objectionable language" and doesn't have smears over the exposed "naughty bits".

What I really don't understand is why the USA Network has "Director's Cut" plastered all over their web site and advertise the movie as unedited and uncut in their commercials, when clearly this is not the case...

from my understanding the directors cut has scenes, shots, lines, ect that were edited out before the final version of the film went to the theatres.

i think what they mean by unedited/uncut is the film isn't shortened to fit time constraints. certain bits of language will have to be edited for basic cable as always. i've always wondered about that as well, its some clever wording.
