So I finally got the domain and site live:
www.savethe4400.netGo here and find out what you can do, sign the petition started at another site (with already 1528 signatures) and most importantly click the link and BUY SEEDS.
Spread this link around everywhere you can, in your signatures, on other forums.. it all helps.
We must get maximum exposure with this campaign if we truly want it to suceed.
Tell everyone you know that on January 2nd 2008 they must buy seeds - www.nutsonline.com - or send seeds to the network.
The countdown to the Sunflower Seed Revolution starts here.
Oh yes, and I hope you all like the site

I really hope this can work.
I like the site's slogan: "The 4400: Abducted 18/12/2007. Returned UNKNOWN."

If you could translate the information page (the one with the address etc) for me and post it here then I will add it to the page no problem

Also if anyone else can do any other language translations feel free and I'll put them up as well.

I wouldn't use an online translator for a website - it's fine for helping with little bits of phrases but is very rarely grammatically correct as it translates word-for-word (often taking the wrong meaning when a word has two, giving the completely wrong result) rather than actually arranging the sentences correctly for you.
As an example, I translated the following sentence from the site into French using Google's online translator:
"Upon the news that The 4400 had been cancelled after 4 seasons and with no real conclusion, I have set up this site as a hub for the ongoing fan efforts to get the show revived in some form"
It came out with this:
"À la nouvelle que le 4400 avait été annulée après 4 saisons, et sans véritable fin, j'ai créé ce site comme une plaque tournante pour le ventilateur des efforts en cours pour obtenir le montrent relancé sous une forme ou sous."
Then, translating THAT back into English gives this:
"At the news that 4400 was canceled after 4 seasons, and without any real purpose, I created this site as a hub for the fan of ongoing efforts to get the show revived some form."
The syntax is completely wrong with online translators - it's fine if you just want to translate a little, but for a site like that it needs to look professional so should really only have translations given by people fluent in both English and the translated language, or people from those countries will have trouble taking it seriously!

French and may be spanish translations will be done tomorrow...
BTW, what do you think about a single topic here where all information about saving The 4400 would be clearly exposed... No comments and/or answers... Just a short but driect information about operations with the links ?

OK thanks

I think that's a good idea, it needs to be at the top pinned so it doesn't end up at the bottom when people reply to other topics.

International Members Please Read!
Here's one more place that sell nothing but varieties of Sunflower seeds. This one I'm hoping will work for our International members because they accept PayPal which I believe someone asked about but only ship to US addresses which no problem. Please let us know if this works for Non-US members.

Originally it was all set for January 2, 2008. Then another poster thought that was too soon / too close to the holiday so it was suggested that it be moved to February 2, 2008. Right now, I believe that most fans are going to do both. Personally, I am going to mail every day for the first week of January, periodically throughout January and I will also participate in the Feb. 2 campaign too.

Thanks again for all your hard work!
I've visited some of the French sites and they all know about this petition, so thanks also to the person who did the translating! One site even knew about the date shift. I e-mailed the admin of another site in my poor French and asked that person to spread the news.

I think we are getting into a lot of confusion about the date now.
I personally think it was better to extend the date, most people are still only just getting back online after Christmas and Jan 2nd is almost upon us, with the rate the petition is climbing at it can't help to leave it a little longer, it is only a month after all. I think if we all start sending on different dates it's not going to have maximum impact, I have updated everywhere with the new date and Baris has added it to the petition so I think most people are now aware of the extension.
I think we all need to agree on the date otherwise we will lose the impact we could get.
This is just my opinion of course

@Seran - yes a Portuguese translation would be great if you could.

All of us fans online are bringing together a mailing campaign. Hope you will participate:
On January 2, 2008 and on February 2, 2008, please mail a letter to USA network asking them to bring back the 4400. To add emphasis, you may want to enclose sunflower seeds in your mailing. The address is:
Ms. Bonnie Hamer

Please, please join us and show your support!

Do we know how many people are actually doing the January 2nd mailing now? as far as I can see on here and the sites etc everyone is doing the Feb date and not many doing the Jan one.
Maybe it doesn't matter though, as long as the network recieve plenty of seeds in between those two dates it should make enough impact
