Wife found a tape labeled "Meredith" and heard him describing sexual feelings; thought it was him talking about a new lover and killed him, said he was sick and needed to be stopped. He had seduced her when she was 15, he 35 and her psychiatrist.
At the end, Connie realizes that all the tapes are really about the wife and that Meredith was the name of the town near the cabin on the lake.......he was dictating his memoirs onto tapes so he could write them down later, and was talking about his wife being his one great love......
Sad, really sad......hubby/victim may not have been best hubby in world, but really loved her.........
Finally, an epi that wasn't polital or preachy, just a good, very realistic, unexpected twist!
Ok. I got that he had raped her, but I think that I eneded up missing the rest of the info. Thanks!

Everybody caught the part of this episode that *may* relate to a character on CI, right?
That was a pretty awful thing for Jack McCoy to do, betraying her confidence like that.

My sister thought I was going to pass out during that part.
I always thought that she and Jack were romantically involved. Maybe that's when she confided in him about sleeping with a patient.

Definitely a disturbing tale. Moira Kelly did a pretty good job as the wife/victim. As far as the Olivet revelation, didn't find it shocking because Logan didn't come to mind. With her years of cop therapy, it could have been any generic cop. That's how unshippy I am, LOL.

Didn't her "relationship" with Mike come up in another trial? I don't remember if it was CI or the Original Law and Order. I felt so bad for the wife, she thought she was saving a little girl, then realised she killed her love.
Also caught an episode of Homicide Life on the streets with Brisco and Munch, Munch finds out Brisco slept with one of Munch's exwifes Gwen, lol. It was so funny.

Did ya'll notice that Detective Lupo used Eame's "patented" phrase, "No, see" while interviewing/interrogating a suspect? (Last Wednesday's epi). I thought only Eames said that, kinda like her "signature phrase"; thought it was to that character the way "The Lean" is to Goren's?

I think Olivia has more feelings for Elliot than Elliot has for Olivia. To me, i think Olivia is in love with him, but would never get in the way of what he has with Kathy. Since there is a new child and all.
Olivia's face was just priceless, i can't get it out of my head. It was definitely a moment, it made my little heart do a big flip flop.
i agree with you on that. i think olivia likes elliot but would never act on it beacuse of kathy and the baby....too bad though, i think they would make a perfect couple:)

Ok. I hope this is a good place to ask this. But I was watching an eppy of CI, and this one girl asked Goren how old he was when he found out his mommy wasn't like all the other mommies. What was she talking about? And Goren seems to have this weird little quirk about him. Like he has a slight problem getting his words out or something. Or is it just me? (I hope I didn't offend any Goren fans. I like him too. And sorry for all the questions. I don't watch much CI.)

No need to apologize, you have come to the right place to get answers about CI! Goren's mother was schizophrenic and first exhibited symptoms when he was 7 (and I think she was 32?). As for the way he seems to stutter or hesitate when he is talking, its just one of his many quirks that make me love him. I remember VDO said in an interview on one of the seasons out on DVD that he thinks Goren is almost embarrassed by his knowledge. To me, the way he stutters and hesitates really makes sense if he is a bit embarrassed and knows that some will think he's a "know-it-all". I also think he does it on purpose sometimes to keep suspects off balance when he is questioning them.

I used to watch SVU but hardly tune in this season as I found the shows lacking in the drama of past seasons. They seem to be just going "through the motions" which is too bad as SVU was my favourite until LOCI started. The best episode this season was when Elliot's wife gave birth after the car accident.....other than that its' been pretty quiet. Also I don't see any Elliot/Olivia "SHIPPYNESS" (although the SVU forum is pretty dedicated to this happening).

I think that he "stutters" as you guys call it or pauses...for the same reasons you think. Not that I am as half as intelligent as Goren, by any means...but sometimes I find myself going to say something, stop 'cause I think maybe people will think "what a smarta**" and then finish my thought, usually without looking at them or looking around them...like I have seen Bobby do as well.

I have seen actors and actresses crossing over the 3 shows, so its a bit confusing at times. Lara Flynn looked very different. She was on a show called Vegas a few years ago and she looked very good. She had gained a little weight. Yesterday she looked very different. Great episode!
The teaser was disturbing, seeing the dog fight & the dead bodies of the losers. Saddest was the little pet dog that was killed to get the fighters all worked up

Those men were sickening - acting like they didn't do anything wrong. Lupo & Green were disgusted with the lot of them.
Yes, the master thief from Silver Lining was excellent, as was the fire chief from "On Fire" as the Ulster County sheriff who helps nab the bad guys.
Lara Flynn Boyle looked horrible - huge collagen lips & botox face. I'm not a fan anyway, never liked her much.

Maybe something that starts out a sex-crime for SVU with a victim being held somewhere and finally escaping, then Major case takes it because the victim who was kidapped had influential parents who were murdered when she was taken from her home and held someplace by some maniac...(of course Goren and Eames would make him confess), then pass it on the the mothership for the trial and conviction!
