Yeah I know. I was expecting something much bigger than what it was. Whoopee.
jcsavestheday
I know that the previews always lie, but geesh.

Also, I think that the L&O shows have stolen just about every story from LOCI this season.

What next? A story about a sports team accused of rape? What about a senseless murder of three college students? Maybe Green will have to go to the mental hospital?

So I didn't miss anything by not watching SVU? I read that it had something to do with a fertility clinic and Olivia feeling she's missing on being able to have kids.
:Shudder: It sounded too much like a soap rather then SVU show...

So what did L&O steal from LOCI now?
I actualy missed the last L&O too. Though I picked up on the poisoned toothpaste from comercials so I didn't mind missing it...

Loci had an ep with poisoned mouthwach this season. And a fertility clinic ep, also.

Ok Last nights SVU

Poor Munch, mentions he was dumped by fin and now teamed up with a computer.

Olivia doesn't have extended Family, I thought for sure Elliot would say yes you do , you have Me,

Of course who would let a cop adopt, a single cop, geez just have a kid Olivia.

I don't know why I thought she would donate her eggs to that woman.

And Why is it familiar what they were doing to that little girl, was that on another show, about keeping her small, or was that in real life? I have a poor memory. But I remember something about keep an invalid girl from growing so she would be easy to handle for the family.

Another episode I feel sorry for the murderer, This man stole these embryos for publicity then sends them UPS back? He should have used FEDEX, geez, Then he couldn't be charged with murder, One woman could never bear her own children and another man lost his wife forever couldn't have her children, but then, would he find a woman who would want to bear her children. Just a sad episode.

On another Note, Fred Thompson, is out of the Race and Now out of Law and Order.

Also they should use the Same Chief of D's for continuty

There was a real life story about parents giving their disabled daughter hormones to keep her small and easier to handle. Not sure how I feel about it. But on SVU, the harvesting the girls eggs was over the top IMO.
And the Chief of D's--it would be nice if they used the same one. If he thought Bobby was a whack job, what would he think of Elliot? And one more thing, is being a jerk a requirement of moving up the ranks in the NYPD? Well, maybe that's a little harsh for the SVU Chief of D's--I guess he was more condescending than a real jerk.

Hello Defenderofmen, of course you can call me Arwen.

I feel happy when I think about such an episode, I did not think about adding Stabler (I don't know why), but the four I mentioned before would be more than enough, and it would have to be a two part episode, like In the Wee Hours.

Cool!

It would have to be a two parter. You would need two full hours for that, definately.

Why is the chief of Ds on SVU different than the one on Criminal Intent?

I have always wondered that because that Chief of Ds has been on a couple of episodes. When I saw him in Cragen's office I sorta freaked and thought he was firing Cragen. I like the CI Chief of Ds better because he seems what I would expect high brass to be like.

Last night's L&O was over the top, ya'll are right.

Remember I noticed a "Sesame Street" alumnus on a LOCI epi recently? Well, guess who made an appearance as the janitor on last night's mothership? Same actor! The one who plays Luis.

Guess I need to watch "Sesame Street" now, and see if he's still on that show? Course, that show's been running for almost 39 years, and he's been on it since Day 1, so maybe he's tired of having muppets for co-stars?

I noticed him, too. But then I kept looking at him to make sure. It seemed to me he looked older last night than in Amends. Maybe it was the mustache (he had a mustache, right? There goes the memory!)

Yes, he had a mustache. You're memory is just fine!

Now, I'm in a quandary tonight -- both L&O (mothership) and CSI:NY are NEW!!!!! What to do? What to do? Usually pick one and watch the other on re-runs.....hmmmm....maybe just flip back and forth?

Oh, and nothing is wrong with the NoRoMo photo with the mechs on it, I was just wondering if we had a "profile" pic of our wonderful ship like the Swiss do?

Yes, he was on the Goren/Eames episode Amends. He played the Grandpa of the boy that stole the gun. He was sitting on a front porch when Goren talked to him.

When they mentioned the Chief of D's was at the crime scene on the original last night, I was so hoping to see him, lol. Just to see if they would use one of the others from CI or SVU. I liked it last night. As for CSI NY, if they would get rid of Heratio, I would watch, something about him, ewwww. I loved when Jim Carrey did an impression of him with his sunglasses on Dave Letterman once, so funny.

If they had just not put the little "Olivia has a secret" bit in the teasers, I think I would have been more suprised about her trying to adopt. It's like when you expect something really great for Christmas and you get something cool just not what you expected, so you don't appreciate what you got.

I think Liv would make a pretty good mom, but I understand why they wouldn't want to place a child in a home that the sole provider could be shot and killed.

Uh, Captain JRyan, ma'am? Horatio is the detective on CSI:Miami, not CSI:NY. Surely you don't mean you want CSI:NY to get rid of Gary Sinise, do you? He's the whole reason I watch that show!
DonnaLJo
Law & Order (mothership) sure didn't waste any time on this local -to- me story that occurred in the next town over on Long Island(Miller Place)

A black father shot & killed a white teenage boy who came to his house with several friends to confront the man's son. Basically the same story as last night, without the silly "soccer mom vigilante" added plotline. That must be a different "ripped" headline from a different part of the country. dry.gif

I "sort of know" the father of the deceased boy, he owns an auto shop. A regular blue collar guy. Supposedly a friend of the white kids (a white girl) said the black teenage boy tried to rape her. It was a lie, of course. I hope this girl gets punished for her part in this tragegy.

Lol.
That's a reason I haven’t thought of, I watch the show occasionally but the plots tend to be simple/childish. I'm guessing you've seen Imposter ?
Have you read any of the interviews by VDO where he describes some of Goren's characteristics as kitsch? I almost immediately thought of Horatio on CSI:Miami. I don't think the 'Goren lean' or any other 'Goren quirks' could possibly become as awful as Horatio's sunglass routine :shudder:
~
Uhm, on topic.... I actualy havn't been watching... So Olivia's back story now includes a half brother and a failed adoption.... I wonder what's next.....
I don't really track the mothership of SVU but it's starting to feel like they're starting to put character stories before the 'crime stories'. In moderation it's okay but if they go all the way placing character stories first then L&O will become just one more crime show no diffrent from the rest. I hope CI doesn't continue that way... Oh, I'm OT again.

Anyone recognize the actor who plays the other Chief Of Detectives? Was he ever in a CI episode (like the CI guy also being in "Watch?") I haven't seen him yet, so I'm curious.

Anyone else think it was so unrealistic on the mothership last night when they tried the poor, black father & the rich, white mother together? So lame & so ridiculous. It would never happen in the real world, not for a minute. cool.gif

The chief of ds on SVU (and I think that the same guy is on the mothership, too as chief of Ds) was in a couple of eps of the mothership back in the day.

For you Golden Girls fans: the svu/mothership? chief of Ds is the same guy who played Gil Kessler, the Transexual politician who ran for city council and lied about having an affair with Blanche.

Hi, *jc,

I thought more of it as perhaps a boo boo rather than a deliberate attempt at continuity, but who knows? I have no idea how many of the same vehicle that they have, for interior/exterior shots, etc... On atxf (X-Files newsgroup), we always said, "Continuity? We don't need no stinkin' continuity". tongue.gif

I was trying to interject continuity where there was none.

If you think Season four of SVU is good, wait until season six comes out April 1st....season six is the best season they did...I personally can't wait ...
