Hey guys, it's time to take a look @ a title that is IMO, the Symbol of Survivor Series:
The WWE Women's Championship
The WWE Women's Title has been defended 8 times @ Survivor Series and it has put the Women's Division back on the map.
Here's a look @ the history making moments:
In 1998, the WWE Women's Title was 1st defended, and on that night, Sable def. Jacqueline to win her 1st Women's Title.
2 years later in 2000, Ivory def. Lita to retain the WWE Women's Championship
In 2001 after Chyna vacated the Women's Title, there was a 1st ever 6-Pack Challenge for the belt, and on that night, Trish Stratus won her 1st ever Women's Championship in the WWE by def. Lita, Ivory, Molly, Jackie Moore and the WWE debut of ECW Vixen Jazz.
In 2002, Trish would have 1st title defense @ Survivor Series, this time, against Victoria in a Hardcore Rules Match, and on that night, Victoria won the match and the championship for the 1st time in her 1st match @ Survivor Series and her 1st match @ the world's most famopus arena
Madison Square Garden
In 2003, Molly Holly def. Lita to retain the Women's Gold
In 2004, Lita challenged Trish for the belt, but was disqualified b/c the referee could not contain control against Lita.
In 2005, Survivor Series had the 1st ever RAW vs. SD! Match for the Gold and on that night, RAW's Trish Stratus w/help from Mickie James def. SD!'s Melina to retain the Gold and this was also Trish's last Survivor Series Match w/a record of 3-2
In 2006, Lita would have her final match @ Survivor Series @ the home of where she got her start (ECW) against Mickie James, however, on that night, Mickie won the match and the championship for a 2nd time, and Lita had a record of 0-5 @ Survivor Series.
However, it was on that night that Lita got humiliated by Cryme Tyme.
