How to Play Six Degrees of Separation

Six Degrees of Separation is a trivia game based on the premise that everyone on Earth can be connected using six associations or less. The phrase originated in John Guare's play Six Degrees of Separation, which was later made into a movie starring Stockard Channing and Donald Sutherland. The game is usually applied to movie trivia, where actors are linked to other actors by movies they have in common, and most notably the ubiquitous actor Kevin Bacon is used as a vehicle through which to connect actors.


Example: Link Michelle Pfeiffer to Julia Ormond via Kevin Bacon

1. Pfeiffer to Jack Nicholson in The Witches of Eastwick
2. Nicholson to Kevin Bacon in A Few Good Men
3. Bacon to Brad Pitt in Sleepers
4. Pitt to Julia Ormond in Legends of the Fall

They were linked in four degrees.

I think it will be more fun to not have any restrictions, except that one part must have to do with The 4400 (of course).

I agree. So we can make any connections we want so long as somewhere in the connection is a person from the 4400. Sounds fun. I'm off to see what I can dig up.

I think it should be restricted to movie/tv roles and not personal relations. That just opens up so many doors for connections and I honestly am not into who's who in Hollywood. But this game was started by Amerirish so I'm not sure if there are any restrictions. Restricting it to their movie/tv roles is just my preference.
