I tried to start this in the DR Fan Club, but it wouldnt' let me do anything with the poll options. So here we go....
Are Ross and M.E. Rodgers engaging in a little inner-office romance?

No, it's not ME Rogers, it's Eames! Sorry, Rogers is too smart for Ross! IMO only.

I just rewatched Depths....I think the Rogers/Ross interchange could be construed two ways: (1) that she was taken aback that Ross showed up on her turf, or (2) some nooky took place between them because she lowered her eyes after saying Captain and looking at Goren and Eames as if she was caught.
Guess we will have to keep watching!

yeah, I think there's something going on. He was way to happy to see her and she looked all sheepish when he walked in and then was embarassed to react that way in front of G/E.

Oh yes, they're totally "doin it." My take on the exchange was that they'd been together the night before and had to pretend in front of the detectives that this was the first time they'd seen each other that morning. What can I say? too close to my own experiences the morning after
...and if this epi was supposed to be shown before "Smile," it would explain the doughnut scene (see Bogosian interview)!

I totally agree (except for the part about my own experiences the morning after). I think they had seen eachother earlier that morning too.

I don't think so. I just don't see it. We have no back story on Rodgers that I know of, but I just don't see it. I thought she was upset that he invaded her territory and ashamed that she was so territorial.

I noticed the same thing and asked the question in another post. One of the answers I got made me watch the episode again. At first I thought she was pissed with him but on slo mo I think the poster to my question might have a point (as disgusting as that sounds). I am sorry but the guy makes my skin crawl!!! YUK!!! Also I notice he is coloring his hair now. WOW!!

I personally kind of like the idea of Rogers and Ross...it makes alot more sense to me than he and Eames (which might i just say....eeww). Both he and Rogers are intelligent, modest, dead pan people, who with all the scowling can be a bit intimidating. I think they would make an interesting couple. It was definitly amusing watching them avoiding eye contact with Goren and Eames in the room there. Should be interesting to see what comes of that.

I am definitely on the ross/rodgers ship. I love the little scenes that they have together, and i hope that we get more of them. They're so cute.
Someone mentioned her dominatrix dress on another thread. That made me laugh.
Does anyone know if Leslie Hendrix has had a mastectomy? It dosen't look like she has any boobs, and she is a lot thinner than she was on the mother ship. she really looks like a different person on there. I probably wouldn't have even known it was her except for the voice.

I totally think something is going on between these two. As long as they keep it in the background, I'll be happy. I was thinking of "Courtship" the other day, and just remembered that Ross says something along the lines of "Rodgers says the cause of death is...". It seems Ross is spending a lot of time in the ME's office. Given the fact he is very hands on about his cases, that's not surprising. That's probably how they became friends.

The way Eames kicked it into high gear knowing Robert was in Tates and what he was doing without a word being said, I'd have to say Eames is smarter than Ross.
I LOVED seeing Rodgers in the elevator! SHe looked great. I also loved the tux. Their tryst doesn' need to be anyone else's business.

No, I didn't mean Eames wasn't smart! I thought Ross had it for Eames at the beginning of the season. Eames is smart not to be wearing that awful dress Rogers was wearing! Whoever is over wardrobe on the show needs to be fired! IMO. K

FanserviceWhen that elevator opened it was pure honest to goodness fanservice. At least to us superfans.
It is a beautiful thing.
And if anyone has seen the very episodes of SVU, you can sorta see they had a sense of humor back in the day.

I thought the same about Ross as well, he was at least very protective.
I saw a season 2 epi today and I am so glad they got rid of those horrible Eames blouses. Yuck. But That dominatrix dress somehow fits Rodgers

I'd love to see small glimpses like the elevator scene from time to time. Makes them more human. And brings some joy to the show. If they kissed already? I mean the could just be friends... I go with friends to the opera all the time.
