I normally avoid SyFyPortal like the plague because of all the darn spoilers, but this article is safe and was referenced on http://www.4400spoilers.com

It might explain why there's been no word. If the word is "no renewal", I'd rather not know for a long time because I don't know what I would do in this stressful time in my life if this important show that reflects so much of my concerns for the world and reflects so much of what I go through were to be cut in its prime.

I presume NBC would start back at S1. That'd be a cool way to establish some new viewers.

or they could do it in reverse and start at the last epi and work back to the beginning LOL. J/K. It would be cool to get new viewers. Sigh, we can hope. Everyone cross your fingers, toes and eyes.

I can see a positive and a negative to this plan. The positive ofcourse being a glorious renewal, possibly even wth a full season (23 epis)

The negative, however, is that it may take another few months before the actual renewal. They won't run out of readily scripted shows 'till mid-January, and if they start with S1, 1 ep per week, season breaks... well, let's say no new epis 'till october at the least.

Thv, have you people noticed this forum has had alot more NBC advertising going on the last couple of days? Or am I just imagining it?

If I had to guess (and guess would imply more certainty than is deserved), I would guess that it would take a pretty long strike before they started rolling out USA Network reruns, and then even longer before they used up the Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, and Starter Wife reruns (shows that already have been renewed). If they ever managed to get to the 4400 (maybe in a bid to keep Monday night's sci-fi), I would again guess (guess, as in speak without a single clue) that they would run the series opener, then the silly 1-hour recap show they did before season 3, and then select episodes from seasons 3 and 4 that move us to the current state of blah. They certainly wouldn't run the 4400 every night or more than once or twice per week, so I doubt that they would start from the beginning. I also doubt that the strike will last any longer than the last one (22 weeks?), so we'd be lucky to get maybe 10 episodes aired.

For example, this would be 10 hours of programming:

1.1 = 2 hours
1&2 recap show = 1 hour
Isabelle & Matthew show = 1 hour
Jordan returns, wedding canceled = 1 hour
3.13 = 1 hour
4.1 = 1 hour
4.5? (marked) = 1 hour
4.7? (Jerusalem) = 1 hour
4.13 = 1 hour

Good "guess" bahmo! tongue.gif

I really think something like the essential episodes marathon approach would make sense - to engage the viewer - but NBC (and it's peers) rarely do the marathon thing.

I'd settle for anything bahmo. just a shot on NBC may give it a shot...who knows.

I seem to recall the new Battlestar Galactica being broadcast on one of the Big 3, NBC maybe? Not sure how it did though. Can anyone confirm this?

I know it sounds bad but I am hoping this strikes lasts long because then maybe the 4400 can be shown on either NBC or CBS. There are too many networks that own this show. This is never a good thing as they can't agree on how to market it or how much they should spend.
