Well, this should be another rule:
If moar is acceptable, so is phreaking;)
I won't even ask how you know about the hacking thing....
Umm... Not to be contrary, but they're from two different roots entirely. It doesn't work that way... People still refer to phone exploitation as
phreaking too, so it's not like using a term that no longer has it's original meaning.
To my brain it doesn't compute. I'm sorry.
I know about the hacking thing cause I used to hang out with a bunch of them.
One of them had a T-shirt with the electrical diagram for wiring a
Blue Box on it even.
The cable guy was doing rounds for cable thieves, showed up at their house, and asked them if they had cable cause his box said they did. The one who answered the door looked the guy dead in the eye and said he'd pay him $100 on the spot if he could FIND a cable outlet anywhere in the house (it was older). They guy took one step in the door, looked at the massive amount of computer parts, cables, monitors, and other equipment that was in the living room alone, said "Ok Have a nice day," and walked straight out. And this was back in 95 when everything was dial-up, the web was just beginning to coalesce into existence, and what we do here everyday was a distant dream.
