Campbell haunts "Ghost Town" romantic comedy
Wed Oct 31, 2007 3:26am EDT

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Billy Campbell has joined Ricky Gervais and Tea Leoni in the romantic comedy "Ghost Town."

The DreamWorks film centers on a dentist (Gervais) who dies briefly during routine dental surgery and gains the ability to see dead people who ask him for help in contacting the living.

Campbell (USA's "The 4400") will play the love interest of Leoni's character, a widow whose deceased husband-turned-ghost (Greg Kinnear) is trying to thwart her imminent marriage.

David Koepp is directing from a script he wrote with John Kamps. The film will be distributed by Paramount.

Hi Bubba here, thanks for the information EasyMac.

Interesting. I don't recall seeing Campbell in a comedy and can't remember the last time I saw him on the big screen, after that flick he was in with JLo.

Thank you so much for the information. I'll be looking forward to reading more about this. The only other movie I know Billy has completed is one for ABC Family..."The Circuit" with Michelle Trachtenberg. Not sure when that will be shown on the tube. rolleyes.gif

FYI, from IMDB.com...

Billy is also in a movie called The Circuit, due out on TV in 2008.

The only time I saw him in a comedy was on Frasier. He was funny.

Since this is a romantic comedy, do you know if he is keeping his Jordan look or is he going to cut his hair and be clean shaven?

Billy Campbell has cut his hair. I've seen pictures from the London Expo and he looks fabulous. (as always) He may have cut the hair for "The Circuit", but either way, he looks great. rolleyes.gif

Yup, that's one of the pictures I saw of Billy from the London Expo. He looks rested, tan, and soooo great. Ahhh..be still my beating heart. rolleyes.gif
