At a recent event, Chris Meloni teased the circumstances surrounding Elliot's injury in, um, rather graphic detail. "A perp attacks me, blindsides me, and it's when your brain is slapped against your skull, basically bruising the optical nerves," he said. "I've always secretly thought it would be very interesting to play a blind person and keep your visual senses open, yet not tap into them…. I summoned my inner Al Pacino, and I think I'm gonna grab that Emmy this year."

I'm wondering if this is the eppy we saw pics of? They are outside, and Liv is tapping his face to see if he is alright after she catches him from falling..

I must have missed this in First Aid class. What would be the point of tapping someone's face to see if they are all right after a head injury? Similarly, the idea of Olivia cradling Elliot in her arms after he is injured violates what I remember about how to treat someone who has been injured and may have a head/neck/brain injury.

You aren't supposed to move their head right? I guess if you move his/her head it may cause futher complications.

The thread was not deleted yesterday. In fact someone has posted pictures from the links. Try searching using "Filming" as the key word. I think that's what pulled it up.

That's correct. You are not supposed to move someone who is injured, especially if you think there may be a head injury, unless it is absolutely necessary. If the car is burning and you don't have the means to put it out, then you should move the accident victim was the example I was given of when it would be acceptable to move an injured victim.

Anyhoo It definitely sounds like an interesting episode and hopefully the whole cast is in it. I can't wait to see Elliot blind, should be a good eppy, but I really don't want to get my hopes up.

I think Liv would know better than the tap/move Elliot if injured. Unless he gets something in his eyes and she's trying to get it out.

You may have been present and paying attention in class. I was just wondering if this is the same eppy from the pics we saw here. I didn't say it was fact. Now, the pics I saw were of Liv touching El's face while both were standing. Who's to say they are aware that a head injury has occured? And we don't know if he goes blind immediately or shortly thereafter. From Chris' description, it may not happen instantly. But we will see... The cradling? Not sure how that fits in, and I wish DW had not mentioned it.

My guess:

El goes blind unexpectedly, and this would explain why Liv is cradling him. It will probably be a frightening time for him, and I'm happy she is there with him...

But again, this is speculation.

If he's injured in Paternity, it would make sense as to why Olivia has Kathy in the car with her. Olivia would've picked Kathy up to take her to the hospital to see Elliot.

Everything I have seen does not have Elliot being injured in Paternity. The car accident is where people get hurt.

Even if Elliot were injured in Paternity, it doesn't make any sense for Olivia to drive from Manhattan to Queens to get Kathy and drive to whichever hospital he's in. It would be simpler and faster for her to just have someone in Queens drive her to the hospital.

elliot has been shot, stabbed, punched, and thrown through a window every season.

what can possibly be next on how his character gets hurt.

There are still millions of possibilities in which dear Elliot may be wounded. Remember, he hasn't been lit on fire yet! 8D

The same way how she handled when Fin got shot- she'll call for help, she'll make sure Elliot is all right and so whatever she can to aide him before the professionals come.
