Bobby wears tie clips all the time on LOCI. How many does he have and are they silver, gold, platinum? He mat wear the same one each episode. What do you guys think, are tie clips appropriate?

Are his initials on them, are they a gift?

hmmmm...tieclips...i like them! ive never really thought about where or who gives them to him. im along the same lines with jc, that it looks professional and that its easier to control. he doesnt have to worry about his tie flaping in his face.
from the epis where i actually look at the tieclips, most of them seem to be just plain sliver or gold. nothing too fancy. but whats more fancy than a tieclip! lol!! ^__^

Wonder if Bobby's are real silver, they usually are, and are they monogramed with his initials? How many do you guys think he has? Does he wear them because he was in the military? Boy, I have a ton of ?'s this morning? Do they seem a little high up on his tie? If Bobby wears them any higher, they'll be up around his neck! LOL!

I love the tie clips. But I can't see them well enough to guess what they are made of. Somewhere in another thread someone posted a really good explanation of the pros and cons of the tie clip versus no tie clip and the reasons for the clip to move higher as the belly gets a big bigger. At church the other day there was a man wearing a tie clip and it was pretty high up--he did have a pot belly. I had to turn and go the other direction so I wouldn't burst out laughing.

Goren didn't wear a tie clip for the first half of the first season or so - I guess it might be something that Vincent adopted when he realised how crucial the Goren Lean Over was to his character - he kept leaning over but without a tie clip, his tie would have been dipping in the indescribable goo of dead bodies, or into cups of coffee, or tickling the ear lobes of hardened criminals in the interrogation room, or all over Eames' computer keyboard or ... oh, your imagination just runs riot.

Was there an episode where a man wore clip-on ties so they wouldn't get caught in machine rollers? That would explain the need for a tie clip. It's not just an issue of keeping it clean, but keeping it safe. Like not wearing your wedding ring in a tool shop. Hmmm.
