Yes, I too have been goaded into signing on as a member. I've been called lots of things before, but never a "lurker". I've been trying to think of a new password for work (using "crime" right now) - "lurker" can be my next one.

Just wanted to say I'd post more but this place is generally so busy I can't keep up with all the threads. Guess I'm just used to smaller forums that move a lot more slowly and if I don't check for a few days I don't lose my place. LOL

I know how you feel. This is the first board I've belonged to, so I don't have anything to compare to. But by the time I read through everything that has been posted since the day before (or sometimes 2 or 3 days before), I don't have time to post anything myself. I've been trying to check in throughout the day to keep up, but can't always do that. Boy, now I really sound like I have no life!

Yeah, there's a lot of threads that all seem to be saying the same thing. The powers that be should give some of the people who are active in specific forums administrative duty. Or at least make some people moderators.

It would probably just be a criminal intent thing, though, because our board is really active.

at least you all aren't fighting like some people are on the SVU board...moderators for each board would be a great idea...and I vote Bubba as one of them...

My goodness! See what I mean by busy? I've been trying to read through threads - shorter ones or ones I find interesting - and all these replies! LOL On the forums I frequent I'd have been in read all updated threads, posted and out by now.

Busy isn't bad, it's just difficult for my old brain to keep up.

Has anyone here actually MET VDO? I'm annoyed at myself because I live on Staten Island and they film here alot and have never actually gotten a chance to go take a look because I didn't know and found out later or one time where I had to go on a trip with my son. I saw the trailers and everything set up, but, unfortunately, couldn't go.

If anyone has, what's he like? Approachable?

The reasons why I lurk:

a. I have a 40 hour a week job
b. I can access the internet at my job, but they don't allow use of their systems for anything except that which is job related
c. Somehow I don't think the USA Network message boards qualify, and they also block access to certain sites
d. When I get home from work, I'm usually too tired to do anything except lurk
e. The only reason I'm using this board at this time of day is because I'm at home on vacation
f. I could be dead tomorrow and no one who reads this board would know what happend to me anyway

Your reasons make me sad. In a sad way, not a "bad" way. I have two jobs (One is 40+ hours and the other 20 hours per week), neither with access to a computer at all. I make time to be here with like CI-minds. :-)
