KimT! My little sister always wanted me to play barbies and I would ONLY move the horses! I was a horse freak my whole life, have owned 7 horses and was barn manager at a therapy riding and boarding facility with 49 head of horses on-site, for 6 years.

My most treasured possession is a ManO'War breyer horse my dad gave me for my 6th birthday, my brother broke the leg tip off it the first week I got it...I still have some second-hand breyers from when I was a kid...and some cheapy knock off ones too...I would sit in the back yard for hours making stick stables and pulling grass shorter for pastures...My dad waiting until I was grown up to get horses though. He said he couldn't afford 5 kids, chickens, a cat and a dog AND horses...not to mention 2 ex wives.

And, to stay on topic...come out, come out, where ever you are...play with us we are fun people!!!

I used to have LOTS of Breyers. In later years I collected mostly Stones and resins. I just have a few little friends now. When I was little my fav horse was a "made in Japan" that we called "Seabiscuit". And that was waaaaay before the movie.

Hey, Spook, you're a horse-lover? My daughter is a big horse freak, too. She just started riding about a year and a half ago, but she is a natural. I love to watch her ride, she looks so beautiful. She has ridden in a few western competitions and would love to learn dressage. She hasn't ridden since last October. I had a falling out with the people who she worked for and who were sponsoring her (LONG, ugly story!). We haven't found her a new place yet. Owning a horse is her dream. With her recent head injury, the riding will have to wait a while. She started collecting Painted Ponies. I don't even know where to find them, but my older daughter has gotten several for her. They are gorgeous, especially the American Indian ones. For her community service for graduation requirements she wants to volunteer at Happy Trails--therapy riding for disabled children.

And back on topic--c'mon out and play!

I LOVE the Trail Of Painted Ponies stuff! They are absolutely gorgeous. I have seen quite a few selling on ebay, but they go very high pricewise. We were recently in New Mexico, in the Albuquerque airport. There were several shops there selling them and one place had a life-sized one with an american indain pattern on it...it was beautiful. This is the name of the pattern it had: Anasazi Spirit Horse Figurine
