I think a lot of people are afraid they'll say something really stupid. That's why my roommate takes forever to join message boards.

Now, I, on the other hand, join and immediately start babbling incoherently.

I also should add that a little randomness in your posts is A-OK and part of the fun. It's more threads that are troublesome.

I think that with all of the promotion and stuff that the show is getting, there are a lot of people who are eager to join the boards. The culture of thi sboard is just a little bit different than others, and it could be difficult for some people who are used to pretty much free for all threads have trouble adjusting.

This is a great point.

All you have to do is be a responsible poster and not just start threads without looking at the next page or use the fabulous search tool.

I know I'm tired of hearing me talk.

I have been a lurker too for some time before joining in this board because i didn't think i was going to say something worthy to be heard and most of all because i'm not from U.S. but now i've become a post addict ...i cannot believe i've posted more than 45 posts this week...

I didn't lurk too long before joining...now I am trying to catch up with Bubba in posting... but he needs to take a years vacation for me to do that...lol....Im only about 19000 or so behind

I was a "lurker" for several months before i joined, but then i eventually found myself arguing with air and figured it may do me better to post my opinions as opposed to keeping them in my head. I guess it is a little intimidating at first to jump into a discussion with people you don't know from adam and who know just as much if not more about the show you are discussing.

Welcome to the internet, where no one knows you. It's not like being at a party with people, it's online life. It is ALWAYS on, 24/7/366, so you'll most likely never be at the beginning of anything. Seriously, don't worry and jump in. As long as you're not trolling and are making an effort, no one's going to jump on you if you're not aware of every little detail. Unless they're real a..err...jerks. Then you probably don't want to be there anyway.

Just jump in, the water's fine!!! No sharks!!! (well maybe Nat).....

hmm.. not so sure about that.. but if you can swim fast enough.. you can avoid them. and sometimes the life gaurd will throw you a line.

I don't knwo what to think about her actually. I think that they look very good onscreen together, but some of her execution is to be desired. However I like the idea of him not getting to be the hothead. I think that it is actually good for him.

I'm liking her! *samsgurl jumps in* I could do without the (to me) unprofessional clothes, but I like the ease Falacci/Logan have with each other. This doesn't seem like temporary, new partnership. Besides, she's a redhead! I'm always in favour of more gingersnaps.

I like that they are developing the characters. I'm probably one of the few people who don't have any strong preferences one way or the other as it concerns that. It seems like there is going to be a little more of a balance this season with the Goren and Eames episodes between the deep personal stuff and the crime fighting. Which is good.

Seems that this thread helped some. I'm glad to see that there are a lot of new people joining.

I lurked for a long time before joining a few weeks ago. I tried to read through all the posts before joining, which took a LONG time because you people have so much to say and I didn't want to miss any of it. I have not been able to get registered on the NBC board, so I've kind of given up on them. I don't think I could keep up with 2 boards anyway, so this is better. I have a question, since my daughter got me set up on this board and I am so very NOT computer saavy. How do you know how many people on on? Where does it tell you that?

Same thing happened to me ciaddict and not even one of the admins of the NBC CI forum could get me registered and in (and she invited me to participate there in the first place so she felt pretty bad about the situation). But it's pretty nice here at USA although I too have too many boards to follow.
