I think they are just too opposite for it to work. They even look at cases differently, I couldn't see a personal relationship working they are too different. It would have to be based on sex only. And I don't see Bobby being that type of guy. But for some reason, I could see Eames in that Type of relationship.

See, i think it's their differences that make them so compatible. In my personal expereince, relationships with people that are too alike never work. For example if you have two people who don't like confrontation then issues that come up are never going to be addressed and things are just going to fester and the relationship will fail. I think the best reltionships are the ones where people compliment each other, which i think goren and eames do. I think in relationships it's about finding that person who balances you out. it definitly seems that this is true in their working relationship, so i think it could be plausible in a romantic relationship.

I'm very much against shipping in the show. I'm OK w/ some fanfic with it though, if it's done the right way. Usually either farce or very super sweet (like shoujo manga, the non-drama kind).

Goren is not like most men. Trying to read how he feels about things can be difficult because of it. He tries not to show how he's feeling, but he feels things very deeply nonetheless.

In any case, this means that what you may take for moves towards a romantic relationship may just very well be his heart showing up on his sleeve. He wants to protect and take care of people he cares about, and that doesn't mean romance. It's frustrating to him when he can't be perfect and make everything OK for those that he's closest to. When he can't be the knight in shining armor, the superhero to the rescue.

Yeah, but it can also be takin in the opposite way as well. Thus is why we have two sides, the shipper side and the non shipper side. Shippers see the romance in their behavior, nonshippers see more of a friendship.

I agree. I think that it could go either way with them.... and I like that...everyone's happy.

However, in terms of me, personally. I will continue to ship B/A. It might be unrealistic, but I like the idea of them 'together'. It seems to me that Bobby has at the very least developed a "crush" on Eames... but that's just my interpretation. I tend to stay on the shippery side of things, and I understand that not everyone agrees with this. It's all in good fun anyways.

I can't believe I'm saying this... but yesterday, all of a sudden, I thought okay, why not ship Eames and Ross? I am pretty sure Bobby has a small crush on Alex, he's smiling at her remarks so often but I am still not sure about her. Just because he is hot as hell doesn't mean she has to be madly in love with him.
I also wondered why Alex started to show so much cleavage all of a sudden (which I find very distracting, I prefer her a bit more covered!) and thought maybe she wanted to be more attractive for Bobby. But why not Ross? He is smart, he has a dry sense of humor, they look kinda cute together and seem to get along well. And - face it - he is a bit more normal than Goren. (and I think the huge height difference between B/A could be a bit challenging in an intimate relationship ) I do know they could never have an official relationship (him being her captain!).

And remember, in high school, when you had a crush on a guy and then he was taken? did you stop having a crush? noooo. because his girlfriend was of course only a bad temporary solution until he came to his senses and fell madly in love with you (except if the girlfriend was a friend)

Logan/Goren... Could almost work, but not quite. Goren is secure enough that it wouldn't bother him at all if another man was interested in him. Logan however, while definitely NOT a homophobe, I don't think would be comfortable with a male admirer. Yes I am the one who suggested Logan/Ross, but I can see that one happening more than the other.

As for Goren getting a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend, I could be OK with that. Depending on the guy.

For those of you that know the show Ouran High School Host Club: Everytime I think of Goren as anime my mind immediately gets the image of Morinozuka Takashi... Or do you think Ootori Kyoya is more a match? Anyone?

Guys you want to help: It's not that we look for a flawed person on purpose, just that when we come across one, especially one with so many other great qualities, we're moved to try and help. Bobby is such a nice guy. A real sweetheart. He's smart, sensitive and quirky, and how often do you see that nowadays? To see him hurting so much brings out the protective instinct in some people. It's not enabling a co-dependant. It's trying to ease the pain of an otherwise strong person who's fallen on hard times.

Yes, some people like the more co-dependant person. They like playing the martyr for someone else's grief and drama. That is one I don't understand. I do like my BFs to be able to have their own lives and for me to have mine too. Doesn't mean they wouldn't react the same way though if they had a whole bunch of crap come down on them at once. Doesn't mean that I wouldn't react the same way to them either.

OMG I went to fanfiction.net and most of them seemed to be G/E fics, and so many of those were hurting and crying and death and awfulness. And some non-G/E fics were all of those things too. I couldn't believe how many people wrote that stuff. Not that it was all bad, just that one might be interesting, 50 is belaboring the point.

Also, I think Bobby looks to Alex for approval. I think he recognizes that she possesses a degree of balance that she mentors for him in regard to other people. Conversely, she shakes her head at his reading habits, which are part and parcel of his coping strategies.
