I really just don't see Bobby and Alex as a couple. They make better friends than lovers. I have read some ship fan fiction stories and enjoyed them, but I really had to keep my mind open. Like most of the non-shippers here, when Bobby called Alex by her name, I totally missed it the first time around because it was not a big deal. I always thought he had called her Alex anyway. Oh well. That's my 2 cents. Well....maybe's it's worth a quarter.

After last nights episode, I think I have become shipper. I'm not convinced that there is much chemistry but Bobby needs someone so much and maybe Eames is the only one that can give it to him. I'm not a shipper. Not for the Goren and Eames ship, anyway. For a lot of reasons, I don't think that's such a hot idea. I've seen a lot great fanfic for it though.

If I remember right a Miami Vice has strawberry daiquiri, pina colada, and vodka. A virgin Miami Vice has strawberry and pineapple. Some people call it a lava flow. Its usually served frozen.

I don't know very much about alcoholic beverages admittedly.

Sounds a bit too sweet for me either way. I'll stick to a good Bloody Mary, G&T or a nice COLD martini for mixed drinks. Usually I prefer Guiness.

Well you know me - entirely unable to make up my mind. But after watching "Untethered" I had a VERY VERY shippy dream about Goren and Eames.

I can't see the two of them "together" in a romantic way. But I am beginning to be able to see them together in a sexual way. The idea of a love relationship doesn't work out for me unless I can come up with a plausible back-story for it.

(Does that make sense? Urgh!)

Thank you! Why do the shippers see things that just aren't there? I even rewatched just the end this morning to see if I could be swayed - but no - no swaying. Bobby's reaction was a total defense of his partner, being po'd at Frank for being such a ingrate after Eames got Bobby to help him and just angry at Frank for their 'history' and Frank never being there when Bobby needs him. The whole reason Bobby got upset to begin with was when he realized that Donny had called Frank and Frank did nothing to get Bobby help.

Sorry had a 'family' thing last night and couldn't get to the board. We all have our opinions but let me ask you - you work with a group of people, you're probably closer to one than the rest for whatever reason - does that mean you want to have a 'relationship' outside of work? No. You can't be partners with someone for as long as they have without developing a trust and concern for each other but it doesn't - won't ever - lead to a romance. What you see is simply their partnership at work - telling her he was put on sick leave was a matter of communicating to his partner what happened. No more to it.

Eames is his partner! He's not going to tell someone three desks down what Ross did. It's just common courtesy to tell your partner what's going on.

Eames was there for him - she's his PARTNER! It's her job.

Ross sent Donny back - Bobby was talking to Eames trying to make sense out of why since Ross was too busy following 'procedure' and it was Bobby's nephew.

It's normal everyday protocol - they are partners and would back each other to the ends of the earth but when they go home at night they have separate lives, separate friends and separate beds. (I know he's usually in mine - in my dreams, anyway ).

Did anyone else get the feeling that Eames was trying very hard to get to Bobby to tell him about Donny's transfer BEFORE Ross did? Then when Ross told Bobby the news in a particularly unsubtle and insensitive way, Eames was vainly trying to calm Bobby down - basically, get him to SHUT UP - before he said something stooopid. Which he did. And got sent on sick leave.

Eames knows how to break sensitive news to Bobby and Ross plainly has no clue. I miss Deakins too because he seemed to 'get' Goren.

I think you're right - Eames knows how to tell things to Bobby. Ross just blurts out his news and then gets mad when Bobby reacts (like Bobby's "Are you crazy?!" reaction). Even Carver 'got' Bobby - Ross doesn't have a clue how to deal with someone as intelligent and sensitive as Goren - I think he's intimidated.

I'm sorry - did you say "ex" boyfriend? Doesn't that prove that those romances don't work? I'd rather seem them as partners and friends than to have a broken romance and hard feelings. They'd never get the 'magic' right again.

They're partners first and foremost and are too professional to cross the line. Not to mention the fact that "IT" just isn't there. They've been partners for so long that they are comfortable with each other.
