I just met him on location for a new episode he was filming at a relatives house in California. I totally lost my mind after he shook my hand and I didn't get to tell him what a genius he is and how much I love the show or anything else! Ugh the humanity!!! But I do have pictures and that says a thousand words

I've met Tony three times. Once in NY for the opening of his directorial debut Made-Up. Once in San Francisco when Monk was shooting here and once in L.A. for the

Not sure if I can post any pictures here or not. When we were on the set they told us to stop taking pictures, then later somebody told us that they didn't want to see the pix up on the internet. I don't know if they were joking or not but I would seriously hate to get in trouble in just a few short posts only to be kicked out. Is there anyway of asking or should I just do it and ask forgiveness?
Forgot to mention I had him sign a shirt it reads:

I imagine they don't want to give too much away this long before the episode airs. There might have been certain elements in the set that would be too revealing about the episode.

Your avatar appears to be the picture of you and Tony, so they can't completely censor you! You look really happy. I guess I would have been, too! Tony does not appear to be in his regular constume - maybe what he is wearing would give something secret away if we saw it at a higher resolution.

I don't think Doug intended to be rude, just very firm. Since she wasn't sure if they were joking the first time, it seems he wanted to make it absolutely clear.

I don't personally think it's a big deal, though. There's not much one can divulge with a picture or even a dozen of them. If there was a lot of information that could be revealed, wouldn't the human eye constitute as a camera of sorts? Sue, were you told not to speak about it? I see maybe a VIDEO camera should be banned...
It puzzles me a little... I guess because it doesn't seem that a picture or two spread about could harm anything. Might even create creative dialogs between fans, but that's about it. How different would it be from the seasons pictures we find before the episodes run?
I sensed a little hostility from Doug too, and that's what made me wonder why they guard it so vehemently. A simple 'Yes, we would appreciate it if you did not post these pictures for the public' is so much easier, because Sue did not know to begin with. 'I remember you and we weren't joking' sounds so Men in Black-ish.
Not trying to be snotty. Just curious. I do realize that most if not all sets do not allow photography.

We can't stop people from posting pictures that they snap of filming. They're your photos and you can do as you like. However, if you are invited to set by us we politely ask that you adhere to our rules if possible. There's no veil of secrecy. It's just Monk. But we do like to have some control over images going out over the internet that show an unfinished product, or an unflattering pose of one of our stars. Posting too many pictures of the sets and actors is a sure way of getting the set visits nixed. Personally, I pick my nose on set A LOT, and I don't want pictures of me picking away to appear on a fan site.
NBC/U has a publicity dept., and it is their responsibility to disseminate photos to the general public.
