That's the movie where Mariska plays a News interviewer right? Yeah she was pretty in that movie but..she was a witch. LOL! She did a good job though. It was a good movie.

Wait, isn't that the "Advocates Devil"? Not Devils Advocate? Because Keano Reeves and Al Picheno were in that, weren't they? Or am I confused? lol. Anyway, thanks for the heads up!

I think you are right. The movie with Al Pacino is called "The Devil's Advocate" and the movie with Mariska is called "Advocate's Devil."
IrishEyes
It is called "The Advocates Devil"...It was done in 1997
WarnerIsLove
Tamara Tunie also plays in The Devil's Advocate.
downsouthrider
Wow, than lifetime may want to look at their comercial again, because i'm certain he said the Devils Advocate.Pardon the error
WarnerIsLove
It's easy to get those two movies mixed up because they are so smiliar in name.

Tamara Tunie is in "The Devil's Advocate."

Mariska Hargitay is in "The Advocate's Devil."

"The Advocate's Devil" is what will be on Lifetime.

She doesn't play a reporter in this movie. I believe she works as a legal aide for an attorney. She also has a personal relationship w/ him. Her name in the movie is Rendy. It's actually, imo, a pretty lame movie. I'm sorry. It's just pretty trite and you can see what's going to happen w/n the first 10 mins. But whatever. Watch it b/c you love Mariska, not b/c you think it'll be a good movie.

OT: I just saw a music video by KeKe Palmer. When did she turn into a singer? And for those who don't know, which I imagine most of you would know, she was in the episode about the three girls kidnapped after Hurricane Katrina. Can't remember the name of the episode though.
mrslee
That episode was Storm from season 7.

MH looks good in everything! I loved her in Lake Placid...or Placid Lake...whatever. I only watch the first ten minutes for her! Haha.

Yep, it's the Advocates Devil. The one where she's a reporter is Night Sins, that was on Lifetime yesterday morning.
Mad4SVU
I remember seeing that- it was good.

I found listings for the movie on October 19, but it's not Lifetime. It is on the Lifetime Movie Network.

Had it not been for the script, directing and storytelling, Advocate's Devil would have been a really good movie.

Really bad movie, but what do you really expect from Lifetime?

However, even though I knew it would be bad, I wanted to see MH doing something other than Olivia Benson. The best part of the movie is the VERY NICELY done love scene between MH and Ken Olin. I didn't buy them as a couple until the scene before it. It was also nice to see MH in a scene like that. When Ken's character, Abe, was saying goodbye to his daughter as she was going off to her college dorm (she was a freshman), that is when I felt them as a viable couple. Not one moment before.

The movie was just bad, but MH was, as usual, really good. This woman can act in anything, but I saw a bit of Benson in this character, Rendi. That is bad when the movie was made before SVU came to pass.

BTW, she plays an investigator working for the attorney she's sleeping with.

Darn.
I have yet to see this movie, but I did see the movie,'The Plain Truth'.
Where MH is a defense attorney who is defending an Amish girl who supposidly killed her unborn child.
It was a really good movie and MH was magnificent in it.
Vick65
I actually quite liked this movie.....nice to see Mariska in a different role
Tigerleaf
This movie was full of cheese, and not the tasty kind. The acting was pretty terrible, but I gotta admit I didn't expect much from it. Twas cool to see MH though, as always! tongue.gif
