Chapter 1 "He Said It"

I saw him walk into the precinct doors and go over the the coffee machine. He grabbed two cups. He fixed one for himself and he fixed one for me. He gave it to me and smiled . I took a sip and thought to myself, yumm. he always fixes it just the way i like it. I started doing my paperwork so i could stop think about Elliot. When I looked up, i cought him starting at me.

Olivia: What
she said in a flattering way.

He didnt answer. So i just forgot about it and went back to doing my paperwork. The day was long and tiring. We had all of our cases done (for the moment anyways). But when one case is finished, paperwork follows.

Fin: Finally i am finished.

he was the last one doing paperwork. The rest of us felt bad for him and decided to stick around until he was finished. Everyone had left, and as usual, Elliot and I here the last ones there.

Elliot: Olivia, You want a ride home.

I wanted for him to take me home so bad that without thinking i said

Olivia: Yes. I would like that.

We got down to his car and drove to my apartment. We sat int the car while an akward silence fell over us. I looked ove at Elliot. His eyes went from me to the window of my apartment. I finally caught what he ment.

Olivia: Would you like to come up.
i said with a giggle in my voice.

Elliot: Well (he said as if thinking about it) since you are offering i guess so.

He gave me a smile that made my insides melt. We got out of the car. I was fiddling in my bag for my keys when I finally found them. I opened the door and we walked up to my apartment. When i opened the door i signaled him to come in. We sat on the couch while silence deffend our ears.

Olivia: So how are things between you and kathy.
i said trying to make conversation. then i realised what i had said. Kathy, I thought, the one i have despised for years for getting to have the man i have wanted for so long. When i heard they broke up, I new i might have a chance to steal him. But i knew he didnt have any feelings for me.

He looked up at me confused.

Elliot: Why do you ask?

Olivia: I dont know. I was just curious, I guess.

Man why did i just say i was curious.

Elliot: We are fine i guess. still seperated. She filed for divorce and signed the papers yesterday.

Olivia: Wow. Really

Elliot: Yeah. She met this guy she really likes. She said that she LOVES this guy way more the she ever did me.

I saw sadness cover his face. I just wanted to grab him and hold him tight, But i knew he would never understand.

Elliot: She said she didnt want to still be married to me and be dating him.

Olivia: Im sorry Elliot. I know how much you love her.

How can i be saying this. Saying that he loved her a whole lot more than her would ever love me.

Elliot noticed the silence between them

Elliot: Speaking of relationships, How are you and your brother doing.

Olivia: Not good. We, Wee.....

My sentence trailed. I felt a tear role down my sheek. I tryed to look away but he already saw it.

Elliot: Liv, you are crying. Whats wrong.

I love how he says my name when he is conserned.

Olivia: He went to vages and lost all his money playing poker and then more. He asked me for money and when i said no he called me all these bad nmaes and stormed off.

I said between the crying noises and the sniffs. Then he did something i never thought he would do. He grabbed me by my hands and pulled me close. He rapped his arms around me and held me tight. I couldn't hold the other have of tears in any longer. But they werent tears of sadness. They where tears of joy. I cryed on his shoulder. He pulled me away just enough to see my face.

Elliot: Im so sorry Liv.

Elliot: I have wanted to tell you something for a while now but didnt know how to say it.

I started to get worried. Was he going to say he never wanted to see me agian? That he no longer wanted to be partners? I let my thoughts trail off and focused my attention back on him.

Elliot: Liv...

He whispered in my ear.

Elliot: I love you.

Did he just say what I think he said.

Olivia: What?

Elliot: I love you Olivia Benson. With all my heart.

Oh no, here comes the tears agian.

I started to cry but was able to say

Olivia: I love you to Elliot Stabler.

He looked at me.

Elliot: I hoped that was what you where going to say.

He smiled and slowly bent down and kissed me.

I held him tighter and made the kiss even more passionate. Before i knew it, we where walking to my room and shutting the door.

CHAPTER 2 " The Devil Returns"





I looked at him lying next to me. From the corner of my eye is saw the alarm clock reading 10:00.

Olivia: Oh No. We have to be at work by 11.

I softly shook Elliot.

Olivia: Wake Up

I said sweetly.

He turned over and looked at me.

Elliot: Good Morning Baby.

We got up. He slipped the clothes on he had from yesterday and walked out into the kitchen. I walked to my bathroom and started getting ready. I had just got done brushing my teeth when Elliot walked in. He rapped his arms around my waist and started kissing my neck.

Elliot: You look beautiful.

Olivia: Thanks but all I have done is brush my teeth. I still have to do my hair and get dressed.

He Smiled

Elliot: You still look beautiful with or without your hair being done. And no matter what you wear, you still look beautiful. Always have, always will.

Olivia: (laughing) Stop flirting, we need to get ready for work.

When we got to work, Captain called Elliot To his office.

Captian: Elliot, Dani is coming back. She wants another shot. We will be sending Munch away for a vacation. After that, well, we will wait till that time comes.

Elliot walked out of Captians office just in time to see Dani walk in the door.

Dani: Hey Elliot.

She ran over to hug him. He returned the favor. Just then Olivia walked in.

Olivia: Elliot I am...

Her sentence trailed when she saw Dani.

Dani: Hi. Havent we met before.

Olivia: Yeah. But I never told you my name. Hi. My name is Olivia Benson.

The happiness drained from Dani's face.

Dani: Oh. So your the famous Olivia Benson.

She said coldly. Elliot wanted to end the tension.

Elliot: Hey Guys, lets go out for lunch.

They both agreed. When they got to Olivia's favorite pizza place, they ordered a pizza and eat in silence. When they got done, Elliot went to pay, leaving Olivia and Dani alone.

Dani: I hear you and Elliot are really close.

Olivia: Yeah. We are best friends.

Then Dani's face went cold.

Dani: Well, not anymore. Elliot is my man. So back off.

Olivia was shocked.

Olivia: What?

Dani: I dont want you to hang around Elliot anymore. I see the way you look at him. Dont mess with him. When he kissed me I knew that we were ment to be together.

Olivia saw Elliot walking back and so did Dani. She put a smile back on her face. Olivia didnt want Elliot to see her crying because he would ask what was wrong. She new she was crazy, but she didnt want to ruin his and Dani's friendship or whatever it was they had going on. She got up and went to the bathroom with her head down so he couldnt see the tear running down her face. She looked back at Dani and saw that she was thinking evil thoughts. She didnt care. She just wanted to run away and never see Dani or, (she couldnt believe she was thinking it) Elliot ever agian. She ran into the bathroom and cryed until she could cry no more. She splashed her face with cold water until you could no long tell the was crying. Then she walked out of the bathroom finding that Elliot and Dani where outside. Elliot had his back to the door. She opened the door wanting to suprise him with a kiss to make Dani mad, but Dani had saw her come up behind him and beat her to it. When Dani started to kiss him, he grabbed her around the waist, like he did me this morning, and passioned the kiss, like I did to him last night. He pulled away.

Elliot: I love you Dani Beck. With all my heart.

Thats when it hit her. Hadn't he just said that to her last night? She realized he didnt mean it. What scared her even more was that she thought he really meant it to Dani. Elliot saw Dani looking over his shoulder with an evil grin. He turned around to see Olivia with eyes full of tears. She walked past him and Dani and ran around the corner. Her apartment building was just around the corner from the pizza place. She was fidiling for her keys in her purse while tears ran down her face. She found her keys but then felt a fimilar hand touch her arm which pulled her around and and held her tight. She pushed Elliot away.

Olivia: (Screaming) NO Elliot. Go away.

Elliot: Liv listen....

Olivia: No Elliot you listen. You didnt mean a thing you said last night did you? Dont answer that. You said you loved me with all your heart. I believed you. I actually believed you. I had no reason not to believe you. I know i meant what i said. I opened my heart to you and look what you did.. You turned around to that Dani girl and said the same thing to her you said to me. And i knew you ment it to her. You said you loved me just so you could hurt me didnt you? Dont answer that. Oh and you kinda forgot to tell me that you had kissed her once before. You have known me for almost 9 years and you never kissed me. But you new her for 5 flippin weaks and you kissed her. And you just happened to get her as your partner while I was undercover. Well i guess that is what i get for not telling you. I bet you didnt mean it when you said i was beautiful. Dont answer that. You know, i always hoped that me and you could be something one day Elliot. That we could love eachother and noone could get in our way. I guess i was wrong. The one thing that could get in our was was the real love of you life, Dani Beck.

Elliot: Olivia...

Olivia: Shut up, Elliot. Let me finish. You know what. I have nothing more to say to you. Nothing more I ever want to say to you. Goodbye, Detective Stabler. Forever.

She opened the door, went in, and shut it without even listening to what he was going to say. She was gone from his life forever. (or for a long time anyway. ;])

The Option And Confrontaion



God please make everything i just witnessed disappear and everything go back to normal, though Olivia. She sat down on her favorite chair in her apartment to think about what she should do next. She wanted to think that she over-reacted with the whole situation, but deep down, she knew she hadn't. Elliot had lied to her and she didnt know if she could ever forgive him. She loved her job, so leaving wasn't an answer. But what worried her was she didnt know if she could sit there and watch the love of her life be partners with the love of his life. Then a thought came to mind. She new what she had to do.

Olivia walked up to the 1-6 hoping that elliot and dani wouldnt be there, but knowing that she was out of luck.

The first thing she saw when she opened the doors was dani and HER desk and elliot walking up the stairs to go lie down. Dani didnt notice olivia at the door, which she was grateful. But what suprised her was when Dani got up and took the same path that Elliot had just taken. Olivia chose to just forget about it. She knew she didnt want to break elliots heart, so she wouldnt seperate him from Dani. But who would she be partners with, she though. She knew she would just have to ask Captian about it. She knocked on his door when she reached it.

Captian: Come in.

Captian immidently noticed liv's composure and could tell something was wrong.

Olivia: Hey Captian. Can I talk to you for a second, please?

Captian: Sure, whats up?

Olivia: Umm, i can work with Elliot anymore. I will let him be partners with Dani. I was wondering if I would have to get a new partner or if I could just work alone.

Captian: Olivia, why dont you want to work with elliot anymore?

Olivia: Lets just say i did something i should have never done and it back fired on me. Thats all I am going to say.

Captian: Ok. What would you rather do. Get a new partner or work alone?

Olivia: I would rather work alone. I dont think i could handle another partner.

Captian: Alright you work Alone. You want to tell Elliot or me?

Olivia: You please. I cant face him right now.

Captian: Your wish is my command.

Olivia walked out of the captians office just as Elliot and Dani come back down to continue work. Elliot looked at ease. She wanted him to suffer. To her liking though, as soon as elliot saw olivia, his face flushed of all its color. He was about to to speak when Elliot was calld into captians office.

Elliot: Whats up?

Captian: Dani is your partner now. Olivia has chose to work alone.

The pain showed on elliots face when he heard the news, and made no precautions to hide it. He knew Olivia was mad, but he didnt think she was mad enough to not want to be partners with him anymore.

Elliot: And you just said yes with no questions asked?

He aske angriedly

Captian: I did ask her one question. I asked her why she didnt want to be partners with you anymore.

Elliot: And...

Captian: She said she did something she though would last and it back fired on her. I dont know what happened between you two, so will you enlighten me please.

Elliot: I cant explain right now. I have to find liv.

Elliot walked out of Cragens office. He searched the room and spotted olivia going upstairs. He followed her. When he reached her, she was lying down on a bed. He could hear her quiet sobs, and it broke his heart.

Elliot: Olivia..

Olivia: Elliot, please go away. Havent you done enough damage?

Elliot: Please let me explain.

Olivia thought for a second. Then turned over on her back and said

Olivia: Im all ears.
