Hi Bubba here, the ratings for CI, since it's now on USA Network, usually come out on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. I thought I would create a thread to keep them all together this season. If you find anything, post it and I will add it to the first post. I think the numbers are very high this season.

Officials at the network said Criminal Intent’s 25-to-54 delivery ranked as the highest entertainment telecast – outside of sports and WWE – for a cable network on a Thursday night against broadcast in at least the last two TV seasons.

The premiere also racked up significant demo gains against the same night last year 98% among adults 18 to 49 and 132% among the 25-to-54 set; 70% and 77%, respectively, when gauged against the time period the previous week; and 88% and 103% versus the network’s averages in last year’s fourth quarter.

In a windows-changing move, NBC Universal announced last spring that the first plays of Criminal Intent will bow on the characters network, with an encore play then available for NBC. Traditionally, broadcast has been the home for original series before the installments move to local stations and/or cable for the syndicated window.

I am so happy.....I really think we might have a couple more seasons after this one...especially if they continue to dig into Goren, his past and personality.

I hope that the quality stays high because sometimes producers become so concerned with ratings that they change things around until it loses its magic. And then there is nothing to stop it from crashing into the ground.

Any news on the "Seeds" ratings? I know L/W epis usually rate lower but will the usual tune-out hurt the show on USA?

Seeing how it was on 3 times last night... who knows????? I watched it this morning recorded at 1am.... Too much sports and other stuff I like on.....

I thought Alicia Witt was great... too bad it is only temporary but according to the video interview on this site, she didn't want a long stretch on a TV series... the CI gig is perfect for her...

Maybe she'll hook up with Michael Imperiolli on a loan from L&O Mother ship.... shades of the Sopranos!!!

Not true. Last season the L/W epis ratings were about the same--sometimes a bit higher, sometimes a bit lower--than the G/E epis.

I thought with seeds it was ok i just watched to see how the girl did, she was ok, a little much but i could probably watch, but I still can not get into Logan, I tried but its just not happening..." he just don't got it"

. Maybe it's too much for vdo doing a weekly show but.... I thought Amends was Great. Alex was great and Bobby looked different, bigger,and much more "in charge". like "What do mean lady? You mean detective Eames don't you.?" Loved the " I'm the whack job face he made." I'm just happy we have a season 7 and maybe a season 8, even if they have to alternate between goren and logan . bye now Oceanheart

At first I prefered the Logan epis over the G/E epis. I would pretty much watch the G/E episodes to make fun of Goren because he's so nosy (and to get my law and order fix). Now I can't get enough of Goren...and Eames

.

I still like the Logan epis, particularly Logan/Wheeler.

I think that the G/E epis appeal a little more b/c we've known these characters for a long time, and so the writers have gotten a chance to let us see more of them.

The way that logan keeps changing partners, we really haven't gotten to get into his head very much yet. I think that we're going to get to see a deeper side of him in this season.

So it looks like LOCI was the highest rated show on Thurs. Actually it looks like it is the only thursday night show that was in the top 20. That's pretty good, considering that its competeing with Hannah Montana and Spongebob.

USA has done an awsome job of promoting LOCI. Way better than NBC ever did. This move was probably the best thing that could have happened to LOCI. Now they just need to move the original series to TNT.

Also they're up against ER and Without a Trace on Thursday nights... I didn't see either of them in there. The only thing I saw on Thurday that beat LOCI was baseball playoffs.

I haven't read anything about a specific time frame for NBC showing reruns of LOCI Season 7 epis. Personally, I don't think they will until they have time slots to fill when some shows get cancelled. Or perhaps if there's a writer's strike, NBC can fill some slots in their programming schedule with the earlier Season 7 epis. I wonder if there's a strike if LOCI on USA will be affected?

The mothership won't air new epis on NBC until January or February. It's going to be on Sunday nights, and will have to wait until NBC's coverage of Sunday Night Football ends.

Yes, if there is a writers stike LOCI will be affected. All television shows whether on network or cable will feel the impact. Hopefully CI has enough episodes in the can to get through till December.

Remember, it's supposed to be 10 episodes in the Fall, (take a break) 12 episodes in the Spring. If the writers stike....12 episodes in the Spring may not happen.

Considering baseball playoff games aired on cable channel TBS for a few weeks, LOCI's ratings are especially impressive. I expect the viewership numbers will go up once the World Series is over.

How is it that WWE stuff tops CI?

Football games I understand (in a lot of offices if you're not into football, you're going to be out of the social loop at the water cooler) and Disney/kids stuff I can see being more watched (well in the case of kids shows, the TV will be tuned to Disney but the kids may not be paying all that much attention to every minute of the show) than CI, but WWE?!?!

The incredibly bad fakey play-acting 'wrestling'?!?! I don't get that.

No matter...cool to see that CI has the momentum...keep on rocking those ratings USA!

Okay, I've said it before and I'll say it again: NBC, can you hear us now??? This show is NOT dead, and so far seems to be garnering lots of positive attention

as well as, repeat after me...ratings. What a concept! I am so pleased that we have the chance to watch this show and that it's getting the respect it so richly deserves.

I see that Nip/Tuck beat CI. I think that will be the case for a while. That show is so unique and Julian McMahon is tough to compete with.

I'm in both groups for another couple years, too. ;-)

I don't follow the demos that much anymore, but it prolly has something to do with what group spends the most $$$$$, cuz that's what the advertisers are interested in.
