I attended a class on boundaries for my work and the lecturer was talking about how he could get people with OCD to go crazy and for about 5 minutes he had his jacket half off. It was SO funny. Finally he had mercy on the OCD among us, and put his coat fully on. Then he asked for a show of hands for people who missed the bit he was talking about. ( About 1/5 raised their hands.)

For several years, my teen-aged granddaughter wore her pants "Hip-Hop" fashion---waist down to her hips, and the crotch to the knees. I was constantly yelling at her to "Pull up those pants right now!!!" Hopefully, it was because it just plain buged me, and not due to my OCD. rolleyes.gif

Well. Sometimes I've got the similar think with OCD. When I see man with unbuttoned jacket I would like to tell it him... It drives me nuts. It's the same with many other little things... mellow.gif

I know how it can bother you about so many little things...One thing that buged me yesterday leaving work...This guy in another lane was PICKING his nose ohmy.gif ...so gross...I just want to stop him and say use some tissue!

I find that I am more worried about germs than I used to be...guess Monk has the story straight after all! tongue.gif

Hehe. I would have done the opposite than most people and would have wanted to take the jacket OFF.

I recently went inside a fast food restaurant, but for some reason felt that I did not need to touch the handles of the doors. Or rather... should not. It was awkward dodging them.

I'm not sure if this would be an OCD moment, but something that reeeeeeeaaaally bugs me is the way people chew and smack on their gum. Chew chew chew, smack, smack, smack, pop, pop, pop........ aargg! Drives me insane. mad.gif

okay, so Seattle is one of the spittin'ist places I've ever lived in. I've seen people stop their cars, open the driver side door to spit on the ground and drive off...and there's nothing that makes me feel more Monk-ish than that.

Oh Oh, you sure would have hated me. I was a world class gum cracker, I even had a teacher sign my yearbook giving me a A+ for gum cracking, lol. Now it sticks to my teeth so I can't chew gum anymore but it sure did annoy a whole lot of people. Think I did it for the attention and "just because I could." Rebellious youth that I was. biggrin.gif

I hate it when someone leaves the front gate open, i just have to go and close it and i pull it back and forth four times, i know it's closed, i just do it to make myself feel better, i don't know why i feel better..i just do. mellow.gif

I chew chewing gum but i'm not annoying with it, i'm normally silent with it, and i definitely DO NOT chew with my mouth open thats just disgusting, a total lack of manners.

Opening a car door to spit!! blink.gif ohmy.gif OMG I never spit never ever, and i never will, it's such a horrible habit, you mean he actually spat on the floor, OMG aaaaaaagh!!

I also open the fridge and close it again, i open it every time i go to the kitchen or most of the time i just go out there to open it and then close it, i don't even get anything out of it!! I just open look then close it, i do that about six times a day, i don't know why, everyone jokes that i must have everything in there memorised Lol!! biggrin.gif

I don't know whether that's OCD-ish but i can't stop it, i can't help it.
