Spoiler:
In the premiere of "Seeds," A fertility doctor's brutal murder leads Det. Logan and his new partner, Nola Falacci, to the victim's brother, also a doctor, with some interesting practices of his own.

I'm waiting on Nicole to return this season! She has a way of captivating and attract Bobby in some sort of sensual way, IMO! She is toxic and knows how to push Bobby to the limit! I know some hate her, but that's what makes her exciting to watch! I would bet she returns!

That Nola Falacci has some mouth, LOL. The look on Logan's face is hysterical! Looks like both Logan and Ross will be reaching for the antacid.

laugh.gif I'm not a Logan fan as I am Bobby, but I will watch it because I want to see Alicia Witt and Logan interact with each other, plus she has my maiden name!! LOL!!!
JanxAngel
That girl is going to be some rollercoaster I can tell.

Logan's going to have to be the senior guy and keep her in line, which is really odd because he's usually the one being "in your face" to everyone.

"Don't look at my partner! Look at me! He's got my back not yours."

Logan's just got that "Damn, girl!" look on his face, like he can't quite believe what he's seeing. Like looking in a mirror 17 years into the past.

I loved Wheeler, but Falacci's going to give her a run for the fans.
happyKat
I have been a long time fan of Noth. I have watched the original L&O since its debut. I was glad that the brought his character back. But, VDO has my mind. I wish they could find a way to keep in the cop that played the partner of the one that was killed. I have seen him on so may shows. He was great on CSI:Miami and then they killed him off on that one. He would be great with them
lucymiller
Can't wait to see the new episode, I love Noah, although I have mixed feelings about the new det. Nola Falacci in the previews she seems to be overacting, I hope it's just the way the scenes are cut and the rest of her scenes are better, it can really take away from the show when the acting sucks...
well i'll be crossing my fingers until then...

P.S. did wheeler leave on the last season, maybe i missed it but i can't remeber her leaving?
DetectiveMUribe
LOCI needs more story arcs. Especially with TEAM B. Not just 'twist&turns' within each episode. I hope Logan gets some friction between his private life and his professional one.

Nola is hopefully better than the preview made her out to be. I gree with Lucymiller. I'm crossing my fingers too.

Hi Bubba here, bumped back to the first page.

I am looking forward to seeing Aicia 's character with Logan-- it will be funny how " in your face" she is--- and besides i think she will have "logan's back" if need be- i liked wheelers' character ok- but to me- she was more girly girly--- not like eames who has a smart mouth and always has bobby's back- and this new character seems like she will be fun to watch- but whatever happens i am determined to watch ALL the shows to keep the ratings high---- so we can keep goren and eames for a long time-- teehe

TV.com has the episode name as "Courtship" weird.

Anyway, I am not posting good quality of the previews on youtube anymore because they deleted my account for some BS reason. I have re-uploaded everything to Google. Please bookmark me.

You can download the previews to your Ipod or computer by clicking on the "Google" logo on the bottom corner of the player. It should takes you to another page where on the right panel there will be an option to download the preview file.

Up until a few days ago, TV Guide, imdb, and USA Network all had Courtship on 10/11 and Seeds on 10/25. Then, without explantion, Seeds was on 10/11 and 10/25. The most recent itteration is Seeds on 10/11 and TBA on 10/25. In addition, imdb now shows episode premiere dates without titles; and, their cast lists, have a few relatively-unknown actors, but none of the regulars.

Oops! As of 10/09, we now have Smile on 10/25. And, what happened to Depths and Courtship, the first two episodes to be shot?

Though the LOCI Production Team and TV Promotion Team seems to be on top of things, the office staff that communicates basic schedule and "credit" information to the press seems to be confused and lagging behind. By looking at other sites, I know at least 7 episodes have reached shooting stage and/or are ready for airing. Why is it that none of the TV listing sites show any more than 4? blink.gif

Thanks Bubba. As a Logan fan as well as a Goren fan, I'm looking forward to seeing how Logan's new partnership with Falacci will go--despite what I already said about how slutty Alicia Witt looks in the promo photos, lol! laugh.gif I'll try to be fair and give her a chance to prove herself. Bring on "Seeds"!

It's 9:55 CST and I have watched the show for 55 minutes. It's alright, still a Goren/Eames fan. I like Witt...she's good.
DETnathalie
Shes quite hot.(lot of skin tight shirts!) but she'll take some getting used to. The case is forgetable. I agree it's so-so.

Logan and Falacci are going to be fun to watch.

"Where's your ring, Logan?"

Chris Noth definately lost weight between the promos and the filming of the epi. Everyone looked chunky in the promos, though.

Loved it!! Will wait for everyone else to catch up-time zone wise-but Alicia Witt w/ Logan absolutely CLICKED!!! I found myself really cracking up; this plot line was explored before, but, I don't think that mattered...anyone?

Pretty much every crime has been committed, and the L & O franchise has written about 20 episodes for each of them. I like watching how the plots twist and characters develops.

Wheeler was such a boring character but the actress who played her was good enough. Falacci is a good character but the actress who plays her is just terrible. They should bring in Connie Nielsen, who played Dani Beck on SVU; she kicked ass. Or bring back Barak-please.

I'm not ready to give up on Witt. Years of watchign soap operas has taught me that sometimes it takes an actor a bit to get into the character. So I'm still holding out hope.

I liked the episode. Noth looked great. His hair, skin, very "refreshed". The Logan episodes don't have the dread and angst air about them that the Goren/Eames episodes do. Much lighter. I don't understand why they have decided to air the Logan episodes out of sequence for when they first became partners. It is very deceiving that the scenes from the commercials are no where to be seen during the show. The "my partner has my back" quote. Logan was more animated with her that the other partners. There was no background information about her.

The Doctor using his own sperm to has been done before in an X-File episode.

It's been on L/O before as well, altho, I can't remember for sure, but I think it was SVU. I think it started with a kidnapped girl, a deranged mom thinking a kid on the playground was hers, and seems like it ended up at a fertility clinic with some old crusty doctor fathering a room full of nearly identical kids with glasses, I think. Any one remember it clearer, season, at least?
JaquiMichel
I liked Nola. She's confident in her abilities and does things her way. She doesn't care who she annoys. I thought Rodgers was going to pop her, but Ross defused the situation. To me, new actors to a show usually click with their characters and costars by the 6th episode, but Witt pulled it off early and works well with Noth and Bogosian.

The plots in L&O world are repetitive but it's interesting seeing a new group of guest actors interpret a rehashed storyline. Michael O'Keefe is a favorite and he was solid as usual. He was also on Criminal Minds last night. The man does evil well.

USA also did this a lot with "The Starter Wife".

It was on the original L&O, too. And it was really was torn from the headlines; a doctor in MD actually did this.

I completely disagree. Its the Trial By Jury theme and it is so much better than the slow version CI used to use. Its the best of all 4 versions
kristal2255
Another worrying observation: Why the USA promo quote: "the more things change, the more they will never be the same"? Hopefully just a hook for us devotees out here, maybe not something cast-altering or writing or too-twisted to recognize anymore; hopefully, just meaning "Hey! The ME's blonde now, and the intro musics been screwed with, but we didn't mean anything BIG was going to happen"....Well, as I believe most of us are like Bobby in that, we really don't adapt well the change, so I, for one, am keeping my fingers crossed that its just the music. If so, I can deal with it!

I had it figured out about half way through about the paternity, the murder didn't make since. I really didn't care for the episode at all.
tobo86
Is it me, or is Falacci a female Goren? It's hard to say so soon, but she's right in there, sniffing, looking, having theories.

I loved her expressions- - the sassy remarks, the rolling of the eyes....

I really like her.

Besides the "fire crotch" comment, my other fav line came from Ross "Just because you think it, doesn't mean you have to say it out loud.".....Me thinks he's found someone else to lean in on?

I really liked the episode. Again, a headline story, and quite interesting.

Again, Michael O'Keefe! He was on Criminal Minds this week as well- - he's starting to play more and more demented characters...THink I'll term this trend "THe D'Onofrio Effect" smile.gif

As much as I love mysteries, I'm just too slow and almost never figure them out. But then I'm always surprised! I did figure out the paternity thing, but I was slower with the murder. And to be truthful, it didn't make a lot of sense. BUT...I loved the episode. Sense or not, it was fun getting there. And I love Falaaci and Logan together. She cracked me up! And so did Logan's (and Ross's and Rodger's) reactions to her. Great casting. I like Wheeler a lot, but I'm going to miss Falaaci when she leaves. Can't she hang around and stick her nose into everyone's cases? And annoy Ross--it's so fun to see him annoyed.
lawandorderviewer
I'm so hoping the Falacci role is very temporary. I know all the networks are trying to draw younger viewers. But there was no explanation how such a young woman, who looks (and dresses) like she just graduated from junior college, gets promoted to the Major Case squad. All the men are middle-aged, sharply dressed in suits and ties. Then there's very young Alicia Witt, wearing tight, bright body suits and low-riding skinny jeans. Is this really how NYPD's women detectives dress on the job? I doubt it. Does anybody remember Cagney and Lacy? Somebody please explain to the LOCI producers the difference between being feminine and looking sexy.
I didn't much care for the Seeds episode. Too bad. Chris Noth deserves better. Better scripts, better co-star. Why can't Logan have a male partner? Maybe a younger hot-head like he was 16 years ago on Law & Order, that Logan can mentor, share his wisdom? He has nothing in common with Falacci. I doubt anybody does.
JanxAngel
It was a good epi, but I have to agree that the ending was kind of soft. 55 minutes of good show leading up to ending with a sigh. The nonsense murder and the way things wrapped up... Where's the VICTORY? I should be feeling the triumph and instead it's "Oh, that's all..." I at least should have some sense of surprise involved...

hint to writers: No motive does NOT equal plot twist.

Forgive me if I missed it, but did they explain WHY the brother double staged the scene? He staged it once by moving the body and the speculum in the mouth and the pants... Then he pulled them up later? Was he confused? I'm sorry but the way the added it up in the end just left me feeling like they used the Deus Ex Machina to conclude it.

I know they have alot of new people this season, so I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt to the writers while they find the groove, but this needs to improve quick. It's not enough to keep me from watching, but I'm a very tolerant person, whereas I know others are not.

PS. Anyone know how bad they're going to be affected by the writer's strike if it happens?
tobo86
I agree with the observation that Falacci is very young to be in the position she's in (compared to all the men), but this sort of plays into my theory that she is a female Goren....A whiz kid.

And Chris did look excellent- - - maybe a little left over from the SITC movie? Loved the sunglasses too.

I absolutely like their interaction- they joked around, they teased one another, and they were straight as could be with one another. I liked his comment to her "When you stop asking all these questions, then we'll really be partners."

He's open to giving her a shot. I suppose many of you need more time to make up your mind, but ITA that an actor has to get comfy with a character- so a break-in period is only fair IMO.
krodgers
Sorry guys, it really bored me. Unlike G&E eppy's that are so memorable and at times, keeping you on the edge of your seat because you can't hear or pay attention to anything else around you! I must say, I have liked some of Logan's eppy's, but not this one. Bobby is my choice by far! cool.gif

Yes Logan did look good, What got me by surprise was in the first episode with Wheeler I kinda got the idea that he didn't like to drive due to the fact he told Wheeler they would have to share the driving, cab drivers drive him crazy. But in this episode he said its my turn to drive, seemed off character to me.

i thought the epi was good. but i have to agree with others that the ending was kinda soft and not as memorable as a goren and eames epi. plus im not too big of a fan of logan. but he did look good in this one. i love the grandma looking sunglasses he was wearing.

as for falacci, im still going to give her some time. this was the first epi i saw her in so i was expecting too much. i did like how she is getting on everyons nerves. i swear, ME Rogers looked like she was going to slap her at one point. still, im going to sit back and watches what unfolds.

I think Chris Noth and Alicia Witt are perfect on-screen. Seeds is one of the best Logan episodes in a while... I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but that is just my opinion...

I do agree, however, that the episode's ending was a wee bit disappointing, but I still liked it better than other Logan episodes in the past... And I really think the partner is the key. Of course, I know: To quote one of the taglines on TNT for the original L&O: "The story is everything." But I still think the partners have to be believable working together.

(I am a HUGE Goren/Eames fan) because Goren + Eames = Criminal Intent! However, I do watch the Logan episodes because I love the show. I watch both sets of detectives, but when it comes to watching reruns, I watch the Goren/Eames episodes dozens of times w/out getting tired of it. I always see something new: A reaction to something from Goren/Eames, although it is hard to take eyes off of Goren! However, the Logan episodes, I might watch a few times... Seeds is an exception. I could probably watch it several times...

I do the same thing. I watch G/E episodes (MOST of them) over and over (just ask my exasperated daughter). Logan's I only watch on occasion. The exceptions have been Maltese Cross (LOVED it!), ITWSH, and now Seeds. I will probably watch it a few more times.
