For the past several years, a number of individuals in the pro wrestling media have been advocating for an "off season" that would allow WWE performers a few months to rest their bodies and spend time with family. The Name We Do Not Speak Of family tragedy gave that proposal increased exposure, although if a F4WOnline.com report is correct, it will not be implemented.
Figure 4 Weekly reports that WWE employees have approached WWE Chairman Vince McMahon with the idea multiple times over the last few months. McMahon completely rejected the idea on all occasions and does not appear to be loosening his stance.

It's actually a good idea and has been brought up before at my other forum, but since it means Vince won't get as much money, of course he'll reject it.

With 3 WWE brands they could pull off a off-season.
when raw is off they could run smackdown and so forth, the only problem is that vince would lose money and theres no way he's gonna let that happen. Never.
And star power on the brands. If it does ever happen it'll be years down the line.

Hi Bubba here, they should have an off-season. That's just like Vince.

So the wwe has as little spine to say Benoit's name. I agree with an off season. At least give wrestlers time off at various different times.

One thing I enjoy about wrestling is that it's one and done. If you miss out on the live show you're SOL if you don't have DVR because there's no reruns. From a fan prespective I think a off season would help keep the product fresh. Look at HHH. He goes away for awhile and while before he left he had crowd support, it was huge when he came back. It would give us a chance to see new storylines and fresh angles and help the wrestlers too. Can you imagine working pretty much every day either with travel or shows?
