It's so great when you find someone that sees the same thing you do, isn't it? I love that.
Yes, it's lovely. Kindred spirits and all that.
I certainly hope they resolve it. I don't want to even think of the alternative. Can you imagine the show ending with Stabler and Benson still ignoring what's between them?
"Yeah, you sure are a great pal, Benson." Benson punches Stabler on the shoulder playfully.
"You too, Stabler. Let's always be buddies."
Well, it wouldn't be written in quite so saccharine a manner but that would be the general gist. How wretched it would be if they continued till the end living in denial- letting this great thing they have languish into nothing. What a horrible way to go. But I'm sticking with it on the confidence that they won't end it that way.

AAAAUUUUGGGGHHHHHH!!! They couldn't do that to us, could they? LOL, I was actually laughing out loud when I read that pal and buddies part. That would be so awful.
I honestly think that Chris Meloni is the bigger obstacle to Elliot and Olivia getting together. I read/saw (can't remember) some interview where someone asked him whether the couple would end up together and he mentioned something like that would be jumping the shark. Whereas from the production blog (I think) Mariska said something like "trust me, we ALL want them to get together..." Maybe Chris feels tied too deeply to Elliot's moral, Catholic, family-lovin' roots. Maybe he just doesn't comprehend how freaking hot and non-jumping-the-shark EO would be...
